Land resources are the basis of urban development,urban construction land plays an increasingly important role in urban development because of its finiteness and irreplaceability.This study using space analysis function of ArcGIS and multi-factor comprehensive evaluation method analyzed spatial differentiation of land use intensity level and the road network density for different functional areas in central urban area of Yiyang,combined with allocation of temporal and spatial structure method,then investigated the ways and direction of potential tapping,structure adjustment and layout optimization?The main results and conclusions of this study were as follows:(1)The density of residential land in Yiyang centeral city is the highest,the proportion of industrial land slightly higher than commercial land and besides,its distribution shows marginalization and the proportion of education and commercial land are smaller;The correlation between road and commercial land is significant,the agglomeration effect on the commercial land shows trunk roads>expressways>slip roads;Owing to travel,commuting and other factors,the influence of secondary roads and branches on residential and municipal office land distribution is stronger than trunk roads;There is a negative correlation between urban road network density of industrial land and educational land,the exclusion effect of educational land shows expressways>trunk roads>slip roads.The spatial distribution between functional land with road is cooperative in the city center area while there is uncooperative in the city marginal area.(2)The land intensive utilization of function area studied in this paper is of medium level,and showed a cluster distribution pattern.Center city like Heshan,Ziyang and Changchun have a higher utilization ratio of land,the land intensity level of those area were mainly high-high;and in urban area like Longling,Lanxi and Xielingang were low-low,which means they have bigger potential of land development.Different function area has different land use intensity,education,municipal office,and business area have higher level of land use intensity,residential and industrial area were at medium level,other areas were mainly at low level;Besides municipal office area of studied area,the residential,industrial,commercial,educational and other area were shows a cluster distribution pattern in spatial distribution.(3)The potential land use scale of all function area is: residential area >industrial area > other area > commercial zone >educational area >municipal office area.The land saving rate of the city was 31.21%,the tapping potential in the south of Zijiang was higher than the north,for example,the tapping potential of Xielingang,Longguangqiao and Changchun is higher than Ziyang city,it suggested that Yiyang should develop the east and south area of the city,and concentrated on residential area and industrial area,it could providing a reserve guarantee for city development through improve the land use intensity of low efficiency land and leisure area.
