The urban land has a fundamental and strategic position in the process of our country modernization.Today,for a populous country like China,the first thing to make social economy develop steadily and rapidly with the fast development of urbanization is to solve the increasingly serious population,resources,environment,food problems,and these problems are closely related to the urban land intensive utilization.Northeast area is China’s largest commodity grain base,the supplying place of country’s energy,resources and food.Land resources protection is very important.At the same time,it’s also facing the dual responsibility of protecting land resources and improving the ecological environment,because of the acceleration of urbanization and industrialization development.The urban land resources’ healthy and benign development not only relates to the comprehensive revitalization of northeast old industrial base in our country,also more relates to the overall situation of the national economy.At first,on the base of advanced theories and research methods from domestic and abroad,this paper deeply analyzes the general situation of the resources and environment,studies the level and feature of urban land utilization,and summarizes the characteristics and existing problems in the northeast.Secondly,with the deeply understanding connotation of urban land intensive utilization,combined with the present situation and characteristics of urban land use in the northeast,the paper builds the evaluation index system of urban land intensive utilization,which including four subsystems(land input intensity,land use intensity,land use efficiency and land use sustainability)and 16 evaluation indexes.Using 37 cities of Northeast area as the research object,through the entropy data processing,this article uses BP neural network model to calculate the urban land intensive utilization degree and does the subsystem evaluation combining the entropy method.This paper also analyzes and interprets the temporal and spatial variation of urban land intensive utilization degree in 2003,2008 and2013.The results shows that: The level of urban land intensive utilization in northeast China has significant spatial differences.The four central cities have been at the forefront,and the land use has formed development characteristic themselves in Liaoning coastal economic belt,Shenyang economic zone and the cities along the Harbin-Dalian economic belt.The three provinces’ land use of the northeast are also different from each other in development trends,and there are various problems.Conclusively,the whole northeast area’s land utilization has a good present situation,and it will move toward to the high level.Finally,this paper draws lessons of experience from the home and abroad,puts forward the corresponding countermeasure and the suggestion in allusion to the analysis results of the urban land intensive level in the northeast area.Including “Strengthen the concept of intensive use of land,fully excavate urban land use potential,optimize space layout and land use structure,reinforce the construction of ecological environment and ecological environment protection,give play to the role of the urban land market mechanism,establish the investigate system and supervision mechanism”,these Suggestions will hope to provide theoretical reference for the strategy with revitalization of the northeast old industrial base,urbanization and sustainable development.
