In the international arena, the competition among enterprises of various countries is becoming more and more fierce. As the saying goes,in today's market, those who get "innovation" get "the world".If each country wants to get a share in the international market,it must pay more and more attention to the development of innovation and technology, and firmly believe that innovation is the core driving force for economic development. Our country is no exception. As early as 2000,the party and the state proposed that China in the future should take the road of coordinated development of "going out" and "introducing in".In 2018,the Party and the state even shouted the slogan of "Made in China" to "Made in China" and "Made in China Intelligently".In order to realize this vision,we must attach importance to cultivating the technological innovation ability of Chinese enterprises. There are two ways to improve the technological innovation capability of enterprises: one is to increase the domestic professional talents and professional knowledge reserve, the other is to encourage enterprises to make foreign direct investment, and strive to obtain knowledge spillover between enterprises. Both domestic and foreign countries should work together to promote the upgrading of technological innovation capability of enterprises. Therefore, the research on the impact of Reverse Technology Spillover on technological innovation capability of Chinese enterprises is of great practical significance. In recent years,in response to the call of "going out",Chinese enterprises have carried out foreign direct investment activities. In 2017,China ranked third in the world in terms of foreign direct investment, which is only 2.16 billion US dollars short of Japan's.Manufacturing enterprises accounted for the largest proportion of foreign direct investment, and high-tech industries accounted for a larger proportion of foreign direct investment in manufacturing industry.Taking Huawei,Lenovo and Haier's outward FDI behavior as research cases, this paper makes a comparative study of the mechanism of different outward FDI modes on technological innovation of enterprises, and studies how enterprises promote their own technological innovation through outward FDI.There are two innovative points in this paper: one is the research level, this paper focuses on the micro-level of enterprises. The influence mechanism of different investment modes on the improvement of enterprises' technological innovation capability. The second is the content of the study.Through case comparison, this paper analyses the mechanism of different investment modes on technological innovation of enterprises, and the differenceof the mechanism of different investment modes on technological innovation of enterprises.Firstly,in the long run,the establishment of R&D centers overseas is the most conducive to enhancing the technological innovation capability of enterprises. In the short run,cross-border M&A is the most direct way for enterprises to obtain technological spillover. The technology spillover effect of green land investment is relatively small. In addition,R&D investment will also positively promote technological innovation of enterprises.Enhancement of new capabilities.Secondly, the most important mechanism for enterprises to enhance their technological innovation capability by setting up R&D centers overseas is R&D factor absorption mechanism and R&D results feedback mechanism.Thirdly, the mechanism of transnational mergers and acquisitions on technological innovation is mainly reflected in reverse technology transfer mechanism and R&D cost allocation mechanism.Fourthly, green investment on technological innovation capacity is mainly through R&D cost allocation mechanism. Finally, this paper puts forward relevant suggestions from the enterprise and government level according to the research conclusions.
