Study On The Spatial Spillover Effect Of Economic Efficiency In The Hinterland Of State-level New Areas

Since the establishment of the Shanghai Pudong New Area by the State Council in 1992,by the end of 2018,China has established 19 state-level new areas.The intensive construction of state-level new areas will help create new regional economic growth poles,thereby further promoting regional coordinated development and stable economic growth.However,there are still some state-level new areas that have failed to play a role in their economic hinterland.Therefore,this paper wants to explore the development of state-level new areas by evaluating the economic efficiency of the hinterland of the state-level new area and to study its spatial spillover effects,in order to seek better development models and development momentum.This paper chooses to study Tianjin Binhai New Area and Chongqing Liangjiang New Area,and discusses the development status of Tianjin and Chongqing after the completion of the state-level new area.Firstly,combining the DEA model and the Malmquist index method,the static status and dynamic evolution of the economic efficiency of the new district are comprehensively analyzed from static and dynamic levels.The results show that:(1)The economic efficiency of Tianjin Binhai New Area and Chongqing Liangjiang New Area is significantly higher than other areas in the hinterland.(2)The economic efficiency of the new area all showed an upward trend,while the economic efficiency of the hinterland gradually changed.(3)The TFP index of the higher development level in the hinterland region is smaller than the lower development level.Taking into account the different conditions such as location and establishment time,the analysis shows that Tianjin Binhai New Area has better impact on its economic hinterland than Chongqing Liangjiang New Area.Then according to the theory of spatial spillover effects,the spatial econometric model is used to study the influencing factors,influencing factors and degree of impact of economic efficiency spillover effects.The results show that:(1)After the establishment of the new area,the economic efficiency of Tianjin and Chongqing has a significant positive spatial spillover effect,and there is mutual promotion of economic efficiency among regions;(2)combining many spatial factors,people's lives Level and industrial development quality have a significant positive impact on economic efficiency,while industrial structure and government intervention levels have a significant negative impact.Finally,based on the conclusions of the article,the following enlightenments are obtained:(1)To upgrade the core competitiveness of the new areas and to vigorously strengthen economic construction;(2)To expand investment in technical elements;(3)To accelerate industrial upgrading in the hinterland of the new area,to promote coordinated regional development and to accelerate the process of economic integration;(4)To reasonably arrange the interval between the establishment of new areas,and pay attention to the quality of development of the new area itself.
