With the development of economic globalization, the international division of labor system in the global value chain is further deepened. In recent years, the global economic structure has begun to shift from “industrial-based economy” to“service-oriented economy”.The division of labor in the global value chain has also expanded from manufacturing to service industry. After the reform and opening up,by taking the advantages of cheap labor and natural resources,China's manufacturing sector has actively participated in the global value chain dominated in the form of processing trade, which unexpectedly triggers low end locking effect in global value chain. In this inevitable trend of the international division along the global value chain, the development of China's service industry cannot take the same disastrous road of the manufacturing industry. Therefore,in order to avoid China's service industry being locked in the low side.It is necessary to discuss the formation mechanism and evolution rule of the global value chain in the service industry. This thesis takes the global value chain of the producer services industry as the research object.Starting from theoretical analysis,it discusses the formation mechanism,by describing and summarizing the development stage and evolution rule of the global value chain in producer service industry.Furtherly, the author uses input-output analysis to calculate the indicators of industrial linkage and inter-industry distance in producer services industries among each country's in the year of 2000-2014.In order to verify the development trends and the changes of the participants of the global value chain in the productive service industry, the author uses the network visualization tool to simulate the global value chain of the producer service industry. Finally,by using the total trade accounting method, the thesis analyzes the real profit gains and the participation degree of China in the global value chain of the producer service industry, and then discusses the gaps between the developing and developed countries. Finally, this thesis puts forward corresponding policies for China's producer services at different stages of development accordingly.Through the analysis, this thesis draws the following conclusions:Firstly, the formation of the global value chain of producer services is formed through the combined actions of external and internal factors, such as the deepening of international division of labor, the progress of information technology, the improvement of efficiency and the enhancement of core competitiveness.Secondly, the division of labor in the global value chain of the producer service industry is firstly formed among the developed economies and then expanding to developing countries.Thirdly, the perfect service trade management system and good institutional environment have enabled the developed economies to occupy positions of the high-end of the value chain and play the role as the leaders in the global value chain of the producer services industry. Finally,in China, each specific producer services sector is in the different stages of the development of the global value chain due to the differences of industry development level, opening degree and participation level. Therefore, the improvement of Chinese producer services industries status on the global value chain requires specific policies accordingly.
