Research On The Sap System Cross-region Integration Program Of A Company

A Company is a US publicly traded company which specializes in the distribution of electronic components,computer products and embedded technology products.It serves customers coming from more than 70 countries around the world.As A Company's most important sales market,Asia Pacific region has brought tremendous revenue with a high rate of growth over the years.SAP system as the core ERP system of Asia Pacific region has become on line for almost 20 years.The external market environment is undergoing tremendous changes since 2015.SAP system,as the core of the information system,it is in urgent need of coping with changes in the internal and external environment in order to adapt with the new enterprise architecture and business processes by internal reorganization.This paper starts with the relevant theories of management information system and takes the Asia-Pacific region of A Company in the organizational restructuring as the research object: With nearly 100 years history,A Company has been in the dominant position in the electronic component distribution industry for a long time.But with dual influence of market's drastic changes and the new US government's adjustment on tariff policies,A Company's globalization strategy was seriously impacted.As a result,the company's growth and development were slowed down severely compared with 10 years ago.Therefore,the company urgently needs to reorganize the internal architecture to continue with the cost leadership strategy,but the integration of SAP system is seriously lagging behind the restructuring of the organizational structure.On the one hand,the severely lagging SAP system architecture seriously affects the reconstruction of business processes,and on the other hand,as a US listed company,The series of risks brought by the intersection of authority will inevitably affect the company's information security and even the trend of future stock price.In addition,project system of A Company's development and deployment setup is relatively solidified,there are many defects in segregation of duties and execution control.Therefore,the idea of designing the integration plan in SAP system is to reconstruct the original user templates,by using the method of case analysis and interview to focus on the key problems existing in the current situation.Then design the overall solution and implementation plan step by step.Through the research on the SAP system integration plan of A Company,this paper establishes a new framework of authorization,user templates and approval process,which helps saving lots of resources.It also builds a solid foundation by establishing a standardized model for the future integration of the company's information system resources and adjustments of management strategic.Hope this research can inspire a large number of management information system practitioners and actually help the construction of information systems after the restructuring of multinational enterprises.
