A Study On The Compliance-Risk Management Of The Sunny Bank

With the booming of global economic integration and in-depth development of financial globalization, many advanced international financial institutions have already built up a comparatively mature comprehensive risk management system. They resort to the advanced principles, the risk management technique and the mature organization and measure to control overall risk to the largest extent. At the time of tending towards the comprehensive risk management, our country’s commercial banks are facing the challenge of promoting the risk management ability and there are still many shortages. In recent years, there have constantly been violations of laws and regulations in the commercial banks, which have brought great economic loss to our nation and commercial banks and severely damaged the reputation of the Chinese banking. Therefore, operating in accordance with the laws and rules and managing and controlling the compliance-risk have become the themes the commercial banks must face actively for their existence and development.Beginning with the theory of compliance-risk management, this thesis analyzes the present condition of compliance-risk management of domestic and international commercial banks and the condition of the Sunny Bank thoroughly by use of comparison, induction and systematic approach. Combined with present realities, it puts forward the strategy and the suggestion for the compliance-risk management of Sunny Bank. Firstly, to perfect the Sunny Bank’s organization, responsibility and report route of compliance-risk management so as to establish the truly capable compliance-risk management institutions. Secondly, to adopt the method of process control, node control, and surveillance etc. to manage and control the compliance-risk in the daily grind. Thirdly, to emphasize the compliance culture is an important part of Sunny Bank’s culture. Only when the compliance culture becomes the standard that everyone follows, the compliance-risk management will be the most effective risk management.The thesis is divided into seven chapters. In Chapter I and II, it introduces the risk management of the commercial banks and its background. In Chapter III, it analyzes the present situations of the compliance-risk management of domestic and international commercial banks, it also indicates the existed problems of the Sunny Bank; Chapter IV, V and VI brings forward the concrete suggestion of the compliance-risk management for the Sunny Bank to resolve the existed problems on organization structure, management content and measures. Chapter Ⅶ is the conclusion and prospect for the developing direction.
