The social and historical changes of Sankeshu Town,Kaili City,Guizhou Province, have experienced three stages of development: from nothing to nothing,to townships to towns, and to characteristic towns. In 1970,the Miao villagers in the surrounding villages were moved to this place in a planned way, forming a Sankeshu Miao Village; In 1995,provincial and municipal units merged with the surrounding towns and towns to establish a three-tree town; From 2007 to 2016,Sankeshu Town took the initiative to complete the national characteristic reconstruction project and was included in the construction plan of the “characteristic town” by the state. The development of the three periods of the Sankeshu depends to a certain extent on the role of "external forces".The characteristics of this dependence are also reflected in the livelihood of the local Miao Villagers. That is to say,it has formed a "specialized" livelihood feature that is different from the surrounding villages. In the first stage,in accordance with the “three-line construction” state-owned enterprises such as “771” and “873”,Sankeshu Miao Village was established, and the production of professionally grown vegetables was formed for the service of state-owned enterprises; In the second stage, the main business of burning bricks is to supply Kaili urban area and local town construction; At this stage, the Miao Villagers in Sankeshu Town cooperate with the government to develop the tourism of ethnic characteristics and the construction of cultural industries. The livelihood form presents diversified characteristics, but it still has the characteristics of “specialization” different from traditional agriculture. The specialization of livelihood makes the local development of Sankeshu closel y depend on the construction of the country, thus forming the development characteris tics of “dependency”.However, unlike the negative view of “depending on the formati on of underdevelopment” in the theory of dependency development, the Sankeshu are a has evolved from a passively planned Miao Village to a township with independent capacity in the process of being included in the state power construction.Based on the historical research and current situation investigation, the study explores the positive impact of state power in the construction of rural society and ethnic areas through the c hanges and development of Sankeshu. At the same time, through the diachronic investigation of the livelihood changes of Miao villagers in Sankeshu area, the study will start from the local social characteri stics of “village” and “Miaozhai”:On the one hand,it discusses the market-oriented co nstruction process of the Sankeshu area from passive planning and independent selecti on to actively seeking to establish a supporting relationship; On the other hand,it anal yzes how Sankeshu Town relies on non-economic factors such as local social relation s and cultural practices to create the cultural characteristics of the township and build a local history as a Miao.
