The Impact Of Entrepreneurial Learning On The Business Model Innovation Of Startups

In the highly uncertain dynamic changing environment,how to change the disadvantages of new enterprises to innovate their own business model has gradually become an urgent problem to be solved.Many studies have shown that new enterprises can acquire integrated knowledge,quickly identify opportunities and overcome the defects of new entrants through entrepreneurial learning behavior,and innovate their business models to adapt to changes in the environment.The new enterprise innovates the business model by designing the new value creation activity system,this process takes the entrepreneurial opportunity recognition as the core,and needs the help of the transaction resources integration reorganization.The theory of dynamic capability indicates that a new enterprise can identify and develop entrepreneurial opportunities,rebuild resources and re-create resource transaction mode by establishing entrepreneurial dynamic capability.Thus,it can be seen that the business model innovation of new enterprises can be realized through the establishment of entrepreneurial dynamic ability,while the knowledge and experience accumulation required by entrepreneurial dynamic ability need to be acquired through entrepreneurial learning.This study follows the basic paradigm of empirical research and takes the entrepreneurs and teams of the new enterprises as the research object.It studies the influence of the two entrepreneurial learning methods of development and exploration on the BMI of the new enterprises.On this basis,it also explores the role of the entrepreneurial dynamic ability of the new enterprises in the relationship between the two.Specifically,on the basis of the existing literature research,the definitions of BMI,entrepreneurial learning and entrepreneurial dynamic ability of start-ups were defined according to the studies of relevant scholars.According to the theoretical analysis of entrepreneurial learning and dynamic ability,a research model was proposed.Combining with previous studies,variables were defined and dimensions were divided.Finally,the research hypothesis of this study is tested by using the sample of new enterprises and the method of questionnaire survey.The empirical results of this study show that both developmental and exploratory entrepreneurial learning methods have a positive impact on the BMI of start-ups,and entrepreneurial dynamic ability can play a mediating role between the two.Compared with those of previous studies,the innovation of this study is embodied in the following two points: first,although the existing research shows that the resources of restructuring and opportunity identification is a precondition for new ventures to achieve BMI,but what did research can make the startup of access to resources andrestructuring at the same time,also can be used to recognize the opportunity and development.In this study,the entrepreneurial dynamic capability is introduced as an intermediary variable,which enables new enterprises to simultaneously realize resource transformation and reorganization as well as the identification and development of entrepreneurial opportunities,thus further clarifying the realization path of BMI of new enterprises.By discussing its mediating effect on the relationship between entrepreneurial learning and BMI of start-ups,this paper further analyzes the influence mechanism of entrepreneurial learning on BMI of start-ups and plays a complementary role to the existing studies on BMI of start-ups.Second,most of the previous studies on the relationship between entrepreneurial learning and BMI of start-ups only focused on the effect of experimental learning(also known as exploratory entrepreneurial learning)on BMI of start-ups,but few studies analyzed the relationship between developmental entrepreneurial learning and BMI of start-ups.In fact,with the help of open entrepreneurial learning and complementary knowledge resources obtained from the external network,the identification of entrepreneurial opportunities plays an indispensable role in the BMI of new enterprises.This study incorporated two entrepreneurial learning methods into the research model at the same time,which enriched the entrepreneurial learning research at the organizational level.
