Faced with the increasing demand from customer,profit-maximization from manufacturing,production line is forced to eliminate waste,enhance production capacity,thus improving the rate of line balance and downsize the labor forces.There is different production cycle time and production capacity in different station,this may cause bottle neck station.Bottleneck station will bring different WIP inventory in different station,which make the operator busy than normal station and operator in other station is idle.Therefore,removing bottlenecks,improving the balance of the production line and improving the capacity of production line is one of the problem that should be determined at first.This textbox studied the capacity and balance rate of the set-box production line,and improve by the basic theory on the industrial engineering.Finding out the bottleneck station through timesheet,increasing the number of machine,analyzing man and machine rate,calculating reasonable rate to decrease manpower is the first thing to do.Analyzing motion of every station using MOD methods and separating waste time with related methods of industrial engineering to improve is the second thing to do.Rearranging the process of production line and using the non-bottleneck station to match the bottleneck station with ECRS rules is the third thing to do.For the layout of production line,using current space to fulfill the need of space is the fourth thing to do.
