Study On The Changes Of Living Space Of Coastal Tourist Towns

Since the 21 st century,the integration of tourism and culture has become a new trend in the development of coastal tourism.Coastal small towns are the main carriers of coastal tourism,and the contradiction between tourists' tourism space and residents' living space of coastal tourism small towns has gradually become a hot social issue.Research on living space is an important pat of social space research,study on the change of living space in coastal tourism towns is an important entry point to understand the social changes driven by tourism.This study takes the Tourism Area Life Cycle theory,social change theory and space production theory as the theoretical basis of the study.By combing literature and field observation,combining qualitative research and GIS spatial analysis,Based on the case study of Tongling town,Dongshan island,a tourism destination in the southeast coast of China.This study discusses the process,characteristics,influencing factors and driving mechanism of residents' living space change under the background of tourism development,and analyzes the problems existing in the process of change.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The types and development stages of Tongling town's living space.According to the qualitative analysis,the living space of the residents of Tongling town focuses on four types: living space,production space,consumption space and leisure and entertainment space.According to the Tourism Area Life Cycle theory,the living space change of residents in Tongling Town of Dongshan Island has experienced three stages,From 1978 to 1995 is it's exploration stage,from 1996 to 2008 is it's tourism development stage,from 2009 to now is it's tourism participation stage.(2)There are some obvious changing characteristics of living space in Tongling Town under the influence of tourism.Specific performance is: “home” space is diversified,residential functions are diversified;occupation is diversified,places are concentrated;consumption choice is diversified,space of space is expanded;interior of leisure and entertainment places The update is fast and coincides with the travel space.(3)The changes in the living space of residents in Tongling Town are mainly influenced by the endogenous factors of land resource endowment and resident initiative,the external factors mainly driven by tourism,government administration and social capital.The changes in the living space relying on the four forces of government,social capital,residents and tourists to advance.(4)To solve the problems of Tongling town residents living space,such as morphological decay,spatial disorder,rights and interests infringement,unreasonable developmen.It is necessary to attach importance to the tourism activation of the traditional way of life and heritage resources of ancient towns,strengthen the top-level space planning and social governance of ancient towns,Attaches great importance to the livable community building and the satisfaction of residents' interests,strengthen the industry guidance and tourism benefit distribution mechanism of rationalization.
