In recent years,traditional electronic products profit had dramatically declined due to fast update iteration,diversified design requirements and constant increasing labor cost.In order to promote their services,those launched electronic products made by Internet of Things(IoT)companies had unbelievably lower profit,even some products had zero profit or offer electronic product terminal to their customers for free.Undoubtedly,all above phenomenon had caused big impact to electronic product market,and brought a huge shock to traditional electronics manufacturers.So,it was very important to adopt a new set of scientific product development management tools for those companies to stay alive in such intense market environment.IPD,as an advanced product development management concept,had been recognized and used by more and more enterprises.With its help,product development cycle had been shortened,staff efficiency and product quality had been improved obviously.Therefore,the product development cost of traditional manufacturers had decreased.Based on a review of research status at home and abroad,with comprehensive using of questionnaire,expert discussion and case study,we had more in-depth research on IPD application of intelligent speaker development project in Company G as below:Firstly,basic concepts and related theories of IPD were introduced,which including project organization structure and PVM,customer-oriented management model and value engineering management model.Secondly,we had in-depth investigation in existing product development management model of Company G,and summarized current problems in the product development.On this basis,According to G Company's current project operation status and combined with IPD theory,a new set of IPD product development processes that meet the actual requirements of Company G was established.For the IPD process,they need redesign the organizational structure,clarify the responsibilities of each function department and make personnel training plan.Using engineering value analysis methods and WBS methods,we had a deep and systematical discussion on tasks need be completed in six phases of developing stage and some critical node review methods when applying IPD in smart speaker product.Thirdly,we had acomparative analysis of the effects of G Company before and after IPD implementation,summarized the direct and indirect benefits of IPD implementation.Last but not least,we analyzed the obstacles of implementing IPD,and proposed specific safeguard measures from IPD implementation,incentive measures and personnel training for these obstacles.
