In recent years,with the increase of the number of middle-class people who pursue high-quality life,the demand of consumers for middle-end hotels will present an explosive growth.Driven by the three forces of customers’ demand,market emphasis and investment influx,China’s domestic middle-end hotels will face a golden opportunity for development in the next 5 years,and it is projected there will be a growth rate of over 30%.For the hotel,as a service-type enterprise which takes services like providing accommodation as the main ones,apart from the construction of hardware facilities,the main competition is to provide high-quality services;and within a hotel,the direct participant for providing services for customers is the employees,they are the footstone for the survival and development of an enterprise.It becomes one of issues that are most concerned by enterprises of hotels as to how to evaluate employees’ performance scientifically,encourage them to love what they do and eventually achieve the strategic objectives of an enterprise.For the achievement of the strategic objectives of the hotel brand in the Chinese market,human resources are the source for an enterprise to win the competitive advantage.Since performance management is a core part of human resources management,so it has become the most urgent thing for the development of the hotel industry to establish a scientific,reasonable,effective,objective and impartial performance management system.In the thesis,with the use of the related theoretical knowledge of performance management,and by the adoption of literature research method,questionnaire survey and work interviews methods,it makes a survey on the practical situation and the main existing problems in the performance management of Hotel F,it also makes an analysis on the causes of the problems;combined with the corporate strategies of Hotel F,and with the application of methods such as Balanced Score Card and KPI,it makes a comprehensive optimization on the performance management system of Hotel F from the perfection of performance evaluation procedures,the setting up of reasonable performance evaluation objectives,the establishment of the evaluation system,that of the performance incentive mechanism and of an effective performance feedback mechanism,so as to make it more operable and scientific and better bring the effect that performance management should have into play.In the last part of the thesis,it makes a discussion on the guaranteeing measures for the operation of the performance management system which has been optimized,as well as new problems,the solutions and the expected effect,and finally achieves the target of integrating corporate missions,core outlook of values,the prospect and strategies as one.The research achievements have good practical significance.For Hotel F,it can conduct the improvement and optimization on its performance management according to the research achievements,so as to lay a good foundation for its operational management;meanwhile,I also hope that it can provide a theoretical reference for the performance management of middle-end hotels within China.
