An Empirical Study On The Impact Of China's Manufacturing Industry Embedding Into The International Division Of Labor System On Thes Efficiency Of Producer Services

Driven by economic globalization and regional integration,China's manufacturing industry is embedded in the deepening of international division of labor,which has a profound impact on the development of China's industry,especially the producer services with high correlation with manufacturing industry.How can China's manufacturing industry effectively utilize the benefits brought by the embedded international division of labor system for the development of China's producer services,so as to better promote the efficiency of producer services is the main purpose of this study.In view of this,this paper aims to sort out the internal relationship between the efficiency of producer services and the embedding of manufacturing industry into the international division of labor system from the theoretical level by combing the relevant domestic and foreign literatures on the impact of international division of labor on the efficiency of producer services,and to explore the possible effects and internal mechanisms of urbanization,industrial optimization and marketization on the relationship between the embedding of international division of labor system and the efficiency of producer services.This paper uses the complexity of export technology to measure China's manufacturing industry's position in the international division of labor system.The results show that China's manufacturing industry's position in the international division of labor is increasing year by year,with a large gap between provinces.DEA Malmquist method estimates the efficiency of producer services in 30 provinces and cities from 2004 to 2016.On the whole,the efficiency of producer services in China shows an alternating trend of rising and falling from 2004 to 2016,but the overall trend is rising.The improvement of technical efficiency is the main source of the efficiency improvement of producer services.There are obvious differences in the efficiency of producer services among provinces.The western region has the highest efficiency,followed by the central region,and the eastern provinces and cities have the slowest growth rate,which is obviously lower than the national average.The dynamic analysis reflected by the density curve of stone shows that the efficiency gap of producer services among provinces is gradually widening.In the empirical part,based on the panel data from 2005 to 2016,this paper analyzes the relationship between the embedding of manufacturing industry into the international division of labor system and the efficiency of producer services.The overall research results show that the embedding of manufacturing industry in the international division of labor system will inhibit the improvement of productivity of producer services.Further development shows that with the deepening of the embedding of manufacturing industry in the international division of labor,this inhibition effect has begun to weaken,and it does not significantly promote the technological progress and efficiency of producer services.From the results of regression in different regions,the inhibition of manufacturing industries embedded in international division of labor on the efficiency of producer services in eastern,central and western regions is widespread,but the difference is obvious.Compared with the central and western regions,the embedding of international division of labor in the manufacturing industry in the eastern region has a stronger blocking effect on the efficiency of producer services.From the perspective of different intermediary paths,the test results of "manufacturing embedded in the international division of labor system-urbanization process-producer service efficiency" show that manufacturing participation in the international division of labor system aggravates the hindering effect on producer service efficiency by promoting urbanization process,"manufacturing embedded in the international division of labor system-industrial optimization-producer service efficiency" and "manufacturing embedded in the international division of labor system-marketization-producer service efficiency" show that manufacturing participation in the international division of labor system alleviates the hindering effect on producer service efficiency by promoting industrial structure optimization and marketization.Finally,the research results are summarized and policy suggestions are put forward.
