Since the beginning of the new century, with the wide participation of various countries in international division of labor, the global value chain division system has gradually formed, the scale of intermediate trade has expanded unprecedentedly and plays an increasingly important role in international trade. The traditional trade accounting system has been unable to measure the real trade status and trade gains of a country(region)manufacturing industry in value-added trade, resulting in China's trade. The trade scale of manufacturing industry is seriously distorted with its division of labor position and interests, and even the phenomenon of "anti-comparative advantage" has seriously overestimated the international division of labor status and trade gains of China's manufacturing industry.Since the financial crisis in 2008,the global economic recovery has been sluggish, and all countries are seeking structural transformation and recovery of their own economies. At the 19th National Congress,China has also proposed the goal of transforming from a manufacturing power to a manufacturing power, and the goal of promoting China's industry to the middle and high end of the global value chain and fostering some world-class advanced manufacturing clusters. The position of international division of labor is an inportant factor that determines the contribution of production and export of a country's industry to its domestic economic growth It reflects the trade benefits of an industry and its position in the global value chain. The higher the position of international division of labor in manufacturing industry, the closer the manufacturing industry is to product R&anp;D and design, the greater the innovation creativity and technological capabilities, and the distance from the manufacturing powers to the manufacturing powers. The high-end goal of the global value chain is closer. Therefore,in order to accurately locate the real international division of labor status or trade gains of China's manufacturing industry and achieve the smooth promotion of its international division of labor status,it is necessary to accurately measure the real international division of labor status of China's manufacturing industry, and to conduct empirical research on the influencing factors of the international division of labor status of China's manufacturing industryBased on the relevant literature and theory, this paper takes the input-output data and social economic account data in the World Input-Output Database(WIOD)as the basic data of this paper.Firstly, using the latest WWYZ decomposition model proposed by Wang Zhi-wai(2017a,2017b)based on forward and backward linkages decomposition calculation of the international division of labor status measurement index(GVCps),the representative is developed. The international division of labor status of China's manufacturing industry,BRICS countries and China's manufacturing industry is measured, and the overall and technical levels of China's manufacturing industry are compared with those of the representative developed countries and BRICS countries. The status quo of China's manufacturing industry in the international division of labor is described more accurately.Secondly, the regression analysis is carried out through the fixed effect model of panel data model. This paper empirically studies the impact of CAP/LAB(ratio of capital reward to labor reward),R&D investment(R&D),gross industrial output(GO),foreign direct investment(FDI),intermediate investment(II_QI)and capital stock(K)on the international division of labor status of China's manufacturing industry. The results of this study show that:firstly,in general, the international division of labor in China's manufacturing industry is still in the middle and lower reaches of the global value chain, while the international division of labor in China's manufacturing industry measured by traditional trade accounting methods is in the upper reaches of the global value chain and there is a problem of exaggeration There is still a big gap between China's manufacturing division of labor and the developed countries in the West There are obvious differences in the international division of labor between China's manufacturing industry in terms of different technological levels, especially between the manufacturing industry with medium and low technological levels and the manufacturing industry with high technological levels.Secondly, from the latest WWYZ decomposition model based on Wang Zhi-wai's(2017a,2017b).The overall empirical results of manufacturing industry based on GVCps decomposed by forward and backward linkages show that:CAP/LAB(the ratio of capital return to labor return)has not passed the significant test, and CAP/LAB has little impact on the international division of labor status of manufacturing industry in China;R&D investment(R&D),capital stock(K)and foreign direct investment(FDI)are all related to the system The position of international division of labor in manufacturing industry is positively correlated, which promotes the promotion of international division of labor in manufacturing industry.Gross Industrial Output(GO)and Intermediate Investment(II QI)are also positively correlated with the status of international division of labor in manufacturing industry, which shows that increasing the scale of industry to form industrial agglomeration can reduce production costs, increase net income and then retain sufficient R&D funds to promote the status of international division of labor, and that of intermediate investment.Entry will also promote the status of international division of labor.Thirdly, from the empirical results of China's manufacturing industry at all levels of technology,we can see that the indicators at all levels of technology have passed the significant test.Among them,CAP/LAB(the ratio of capital reward to labor reward)indicators have some differences in promoting the status of international division of labor at different levels of technology, and it has some differences in promoting the international division of labor in manufacturing industry with medium-level of technology. The promotion of labor status is the most obvious, followed by low and high technology. For R&D investment(R&D)indicators, the promotion of international division of labor status of high-tech manufacturing industry is the most prominent. The promotion of foreign direct investment(FDI)indicators for high-tech manufacturing industry is similar to that of R&D indicators for international division of labor status, but also the most prominent Therefore, efforts should be made to increase the introduction of foreign capital to high-tech manufacturing industries and further expand the opening up.
