Industrial Spatial Agglomeration In Beijing: Pattern,Evolution And Mechanism

Based on the relevant research at home and abroad,this paper studies the pattern and evolution process of industrial spatial agglomeration in Beijing,and then constructs an framework to analyze the formation mechanism of industrial agglomeration in Beijing.On the basis,this paper finds out the factors that affect the concentration of industrial space in Beijing,then builds a panel data model to estimate the actual impact of various factors affecting Beijing's industrial agglomeration,finally puts forward some suggestions.By calculating the Gini coefficient and geographic concentration of industries in Beijing,it was found that Beijing's industries had exhibited a clear trend of agglomeration in 2005,and the geographical concentration was high.There were differences in the development of industries in different districts.The secondary industry was mainly distributed in the peripheral area,and the tertiary industry was distributed in the central area.Compared with 2005,the spatial agglomeration degree of Beijing's secondary industry increased in 2017,while the tertiary industry declined in general.And the spatial agglomeration degree of producer services was higher.The most specialized industries in most regions had changed.The central area was still dominated by the tertiary industry,and the concentration of the secondary industry in the peripheral area had increased.From 2005 to 2017,the locational Gini coefficient of secondary industry showed an upward trend,while the tertiary industry declined slightly.It showed that the secondary industry had moved from the central area to a new peripheral area and was further clustered in the new area.Although the tertiary industry was in the stage of spatial spread,the spread trend was weak.The evolution process of industrial spatial agglomeration in Beijing is described by standard deviation ellipse method.The evolution process of Beijing's industrial and producer services,as well as resident and consumer services services,was described in terms of spatial difference index,distribution center,scope,density,direction and shape.From 2005 to 2017,the spatial distribution of the industry and producer services had been in the pattern of ?South(Western)– North(East).The spatial difference index was on the rise,and the moving directions of the spatial center were the same.The area of standard deviational ellipse and the density had increased,and the shape of spatial distribution tended to be flat.The spatial distribution of the resident population and consumer services had been in the pattern of ?South(Western)– North(East).The spatial difference index first increased and then decreased,and the moving direction of the spatial center was opposite.The spatial distribution of the resident population had reduced,while the consumer services' s had increased.The density increased.The spatial distribution shape of the two had the opposite trend.An analytical framework is established for the agglomeration mechanism of industrial space in Beijing,and then identifing the factors that affect the agglomeration of industrial space.Regional characteristics are the external environment of the industrial location.The uneven distribution of factors is the basis of industrial space agglomeration.The evolution of agglomeration is the driving force of industrial space agglomeration.The size and potential of the market and the industrial agglomeration have a two-way promotion relationship.Based on the qualitative analysis,an empirical test is carried out on the effects of various factors affecting the industrial space agglomeration in Beijing.It is found that from 2009 to 2017,among the factors influencing Beijing's industrial agglomeration,the internal mechanism of the agglomeration of economic activities was an important factor affecting the changes in the industrial spatial pattern of Beijing.The scale and cost of labor were no longer the fundamental causes of the industrial spatial pattern in Beijing.Marketing potential and scale,capital and the degree of regional opening had an impact on the spatial distribution of Beijing's industries.In the future,Beijing should accelerate the coordinated development of related industries and follow the law of industrial agglomeration,formulate reasonable industrial policies,improve the investment and financing mechanism in the process of industrial development,focus on the role of capital,intensify opening up,improve the regional development environment,further improve the quality of products and services,and tap marketing potential.
