China has close trade relations with ASEAN and has great potential for cooperation. In 2017,the trade volume of agricultural products between China and ASEAN was 31.434 billion US dollars, accounting for 15.61% of the total agricultural trade between China and the world, and the volume of trade was large. The bilateral trade in agricultural products accounts for more than 60% of China's agricultural trade volume along the “Belt and Road” countries. In order to better promote the “Belt and Road” agricultural cooperation,China needs to pay attention to agricultural products trade with ASEAN.Faced with a more stable and mature Southeast Asian market,China's agricultural products are facing many challenges while welcoming opportunities. How to achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation in the new era,we need to conduct in-depth research on China-ASEAN agricultural trade. This paper first analyzes the basis of China's agricultural trade with ASEAN.The natural resources endowments of the two sides are different, and the development of agriculture is different. It is believed that the two sides complement each other in agricultural production. Then it describes and analyzes the bilateral agricultural product trade level and trade structure, and finds that the trade development between China and ASEAN countries is not balanced, and there are obvious country differences.According to the product structure of trade, combined with the theory of comparative advantage,it is inferred that China has comparative advantages in labor-intensive agricultural products, and ASEAN has comparative advantages in land-intensive agricultural products. In order to further verify the competitiveness and complementarity of the two parties, this paper analyzes the 2008-2017 RCA index,TCI index and TCD index, and finds that China and ASEAN are both competitive and complementary in agricultural trade, and the two countries have trade dependence.High, but the complementary pattern needs to be improved. In order to expand the scale of bilateral trade, this paper constructs the export trade gravity model and the imported gravity model for regression analysis, and finds that factors such as economic scale, distance, exchange rate and per capita GDP difference have significant effects on bilateral trade flows. Finally,in view of the problems and influencing factors in trade, this paper puts forward several policy recommendations.
