Research On The Influencing Factors And Trade Efficiency Of China’s Export Of Agricultural Machinery Products To ASEAN

Since the launch of China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone,steady growth has been witnessed in the trade between the two sides.Agricultural machinery products have drawn tremendous attentions from both China and ASEAN countries.Although China is the biggest country in the world in terms of agricultural machinery manufacturing,its export growth rate of agricultural machinery products has started to decline since 2016.In addition,the domestic agricultural machinery is encountering many issues such as lack of innovation,low industrial level,and insufficient investment in research.Under this background,there is a significant practical meaning to conduct research into the influence factors and trade efficiency of China’s exports of agricultural machinery products to ASEAN.Firstly,the article analysis the relevant concepts of agricultural machinery and trade efficiency,and classify China’s agricultural machinery products into 10 categories.Next,this article analysis the current status,structure,and feature of China’s exports of agricultural machinery products.Then,the article analysis the influence factors of China’s exports of agricultural machinery products to ASEAN countries,mainly from four aspects of natural factors,economic factors,environmental factors,and cost factors.Then,on the empirical level,the stochastic frontier gravitation model and trade non-efficiency model are built based on the panel data of ten countries over ten years from 2006 to 2016.And we estimate the trade efficiency of China’s exports of agricultural machinery products to ASEAN countries mainly from three perspectives of overall efficiency,product efficiency,and country efficiency.Finally,based on the estimation and calculation,relevant suggestions have been given for the exports of China’s agricultural machinery products.
