Research On The Development Of Rural Tourism Homestay In Lichuan City

In recent years,with the rapid development of tourism,concepts such as rural tourism,leisure vacation,green tourism and deep tourism have aroused much more attention.Rising economic level of urban area,as well as the increasing living pressure both bring urban residents eager back to the carefree country life.As a result,suburban area of the rural tourism has become a good place for urban residents to spend their leisure time.In recent four years,the NO.1 documents of Party Central Committee repeatedly advocate to develop the rural tourism,implement the strategy of strategy of rural rejuvenation.The national tourism administration also pointed out that,to develop rural tourism,measures should be adjusted to local conditions.And by making effective exploitation of local tourism resource,the local impoverished people can increase their income to overcome poverty.These documents all showed that our country attached great importance to rural tourism.Under such a great developing environment,the home stay industry is gradually emerging,and becoming an important breakthrough of the strategy of rural rejuvenation.The Lichuan city was selected as the study area in this paper.Lichuan city,located in the western Hubei province,Enshi city,has a good natural ecological environment.Its convenient transportation,rich ethnic culture and good climate all ensured it is a good place to develop rural tourism of home stay facility.In recent years,Lichuan city enacted policies,raised funds,launched a lot home stay facility rural tourism construction projects." Hundreds village,enterprises,household " rural tourism project has implemented in 11 village of the whole city.Tourists of rural homestay raised year by year,the total tourism income also significantly increased.However,there are still many problems existed.How to develop the rural tourism in Lichuan city to help the rural impoverished people remains consideration.This paper mainly adopts the literature analysis method,case analysis method,field investigation method and the methods of questionnaire investigation,mainly based on the social participation theory,life span theory and sustainable development theory.Lessons are learned from the successful experience of homestay facility development in the domestic and overseas.This paper takes the home stay facility in Lichuan city as the research object,field visits,investigation and survey were carried out in 11 demonstration villages of home stay facility.Face to face interviews were conducted to the local government and the homestay facility administrators,homestay manage institution operators respectively.Aiming at the existing problem of Lichuan city rural homestay tourism,countermeasures and suggestions were put forward from the aspects of the government management institutions and the home stay facility operators.Intending to boost the sustainable development of rural tourism homestay facility in Lichuan and promote rural revitalization and tourism poverty alleviation.
