Kazakhstan is the world’s largest landlocked country and the second largest economy in the Commonwealth of Independent States. As the only country among the five Central Asian countries that has established a comprehensive strategic partnership with China,Kazakhstan is rich in natural resources and is the most influential country in Central Asia.Kazakhstan is located in the northern part of Central Asia,in China. In the initiative plan, the Trans-New Eurasia Bridge and the China-Central Asia-West Asia Economic Corridor are China’s important energy sources and one of the suppliers of minerals. The Sino-Kazakhstan crude oil pipeline and the Central Asian natural gas pipeline are Chinafs energy strategic security. The important composition. This shows the importance of bilateral trade between China and Kazakhstan.Through the research in this paper,it is found that the bilateral trade between China and Kazakhstan currently has room for adjustment in terms of scale and structure. The paper first discusses the research background and research significance, and highlights the important position of Kazakhstan in the "Belt and Road" initiative. In the process of combing the Sino-Kazakh trade process,it was found that although the trade volume between China and Kazakhstan declined during the "Belt and Road" period, the TCD indicator showed that the trade integration between the two sides did not decrease but increased. In the analysis of trade scale, the results of multiple regression models show that the three variables of the per capita gross national income of China and Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan,s dependence on foreign trade affect the trade volume between China and Kazakhstan. The results of the gravity model show that bilateral trade still exists.Great potential. In the analysis of the trade structure, the RCA dominant comparative advantage index and the TCI trade complementarity index were used for analysis. The results show that Kazakhstan’s exports to China are strongly complementary to the zero, three and six categories in the SITC classification, but the second, third and sixth trade volumes in actual exports are the largest. Finally, based on the results of the model and the background of the "Belt and Road",this paper proposes reasonable suggestions on the bilateral trade between China and Kazakhstan from the perspective of scale and structure. Finally, based on the results of the model and the background of the "Belt and Road",this paper proposes reasonable suggestions on the bilateral trade between China and Kazakhstan from the perspective of scale and structure.
