Research On Sino-kazakhstan Economic And Trade Cooperation Under The Road And Belt Initiative

The regional economic integration has become under heated discussions after the global financial crisis in 2008.In order to strengthen economic and cultural cooperation with developing countries,China put forward the Belt and Road Initiative development strategy,therefore,how to implement the Belt and Road strategy between these countries and cooperate with these participants effectively also became the most important task for Chinese.China’s neighbor Kazakhstan is located in Central Asia,it has a great geographical position and rich natural resources,and the economic status of Kazakhstan is constantly improving.Since the founding of Kazakhstan,China has maintained a good cooperative relationship with it,and good economic cooperation between the two countries has an important role in promoting the development of central Asia.In the background of "The Belt and Road" strategy,Chinese economic cooperation with Kazakhstan ushered in the great development opportunities,has important practical significance to study on economic cooperation between China and Kazakhstan.This paper studies the economic cooperation between China and Kazakhstan by means of theoretical and empirical research.Firstly,the paper analyzed the following three aspects:The Belt and Road strategy,factors influencing Sino-Kazakh economic cooperation,China’s export to Kazakhstan,and reviewed papers and researches in these fields.Then,this paper analyzes the factor endowment of Kazakhstan,and analyzes the current situation of Kazakhstan’s political,economic and cultural development.By collecting relevant data,this paper further studied the current situation of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Chinese under the Belt and Road Initiative.Based on the theoretical research and the analysis of the current situation of Sino Kazakh trade,this paper constructs a time-varying stochastic frontier trade gravity model and trade efficiency model.Through the construction of the two models are respectively researched the natural and artificial factors on China on Kazakhstan’s export trade efficiency,natural factors selected per capita GDP,total population,distance between the two,have a common boundary or common language of four variables,human factors selected the total mileage of railways,air transport,monetary freedom,financial freedom,trade freedom,clean government six variables,thus calculated China on Kazakhstan’s export trade effciency and export potential.Finally,this paper puts forward some policy suggestions through the results of theoretical and empirical research.
