In order to get a long-term survival in the gas industry,each company is continuously improving its management capabilities to adapt to the development of the industry as well as the competition.Those capabilities include the implementation of the business strategy,management improvement,and also the participation of each front-line employee.Therefore,it has become a "compulsory subject" for modern gas companies to learn how to improve the employees' professional skills,to enhance corporate cohesion,and eventually to enhance the competitiveness of the company.Employee performance appraisal,as the core of the enterprise human resource management system,undertakes the three functions of enterprise development strategy,management improvement and technology development.To establish a perfect performance appraisal system for gas companies,it relies on the objectives of company performance appraisal and reasonable selections of performance appraisal methods.Firstly,gas companies should have a comprehensive understanding of the industry characteristics,and build a reasonable performance appraisal system that fits in the gas industry;Secondly,they should analyze the problems in the performance appraisal systems of gas companies,position the key points and solve them;Lastly,it's important for gas companies to enhance the communication between managers,employees and appraisers,take precautions,and effectively implement the performance appraisal system.This paper carefully analyzes the current status of employee performance appraisal system,based on the actual situation of W gas company,and finds the problems and causes through the satisfaction survey of W gas company performance appraisal system.The study starts from optimizing and improving the current performance appraisal system,and seeks for the solution of the problems,which is to re-clarify the performance appraisal objectives through 360-degree assessment method,to improve the appraisal system,and to guide employees to build a performance oriented mindset.This will establish a reasonable performance management and assessment system step by step,and eventually achieve the company's long-term strategic goals.
