Stigler's Thoughts On Digital Capitalism

Since Plato created metaphysics,technology has been at the edge of philosophy.It is the non-intellectual place and exist only as tool for human.However,technology showed completely different characteristics from the past after the first industrial revolution.The people become a part of the machine.It is not the tool that is used by people,but the tool that used people.Technology has own dynamics.As a result,stiegler proposed a new relationship between man and technology--Differance between man and technology.Differance is not just about people or technology,it's about the possibility of both.People and technology reflect each other and move towards each other to form two sides of the same phenomenon.Based on the new relationship between man and technology,stiegler discusses his thoughts on digital capitalism.Because technology is the extension of human's biological inheritance,people store their own intertiary memory.This is an unexperienced past that future people must accept.The people that will born in the future return to the past that disappeared by intertiary memory.The structure of this technology constitutes a delayed process and the history is in this process.However,the development of modern technology has broken this process,and we can accepte memory in real time.Thus,the real-time third-holding cause various crises of capitalism,and produce Stiegler's criticism of digital capitalism.The first part of this paper mainly discusses the theoretical origin of Stiegler's digital capitalism.Stiegler's thought of digital capitalism mainly comes from three clues.The first clue is the technical philosophy of Simondon,Gill and Leru Vargulan.The second clue is the traditional European philosophy which includes Kantian principles of three syntheses of knowledge,Marx's political economy,Heidegger and Husserl's phenomenology and Derrida's deconstructionism.The third clue is the modern science,which includes modern digital simulation technology and biotechnology.The second part discusses the basis of Stiegler's digital capitalism,namely the relationship between "who" and "what".This part is mainly discussed from twoperspectives: the first is Rousseau's transcendental anthropology and Leru Vargulan's technological anthropology,the second is Heidegger's phenomenology.The third part discusses the main content of Stiegler's digital capitalism thought.In Stiegler's view,the emergence of digital and analog technology has changed the delayed third holding into intertiary memory,and individualized "I" into the same "We".So it opening up various crises of digital capitalism.If we want to get rid of the predicament of digital capitalism thoroughly,we must resort to the pharmacology of technology and solve the problems brought to us by technology itself.The fourth part discusses the evaluation and realistic enlightenment of stiegler's digital capitalism thought.Although Stiegler's thought of digital capital has many defects,it is still an important development of Marxism in the new era.It can provide a new solution to the problems brought about by modern technology for our country.
