The Impact Of China’s Tourism Industry Agglomeration On The Efficiency Of Green Economy

The green transformation of the economic development mode is inseparable from the adjustment and optimization of the industrial structure.As a typical representative of the green economy in the new era,the tourism industry has the innate conditions for the development of industrial clusters.The concentration of tourism industry has a far-reaching impact on the improvement of China’s green economy efficiency and the sustainable development of the regional economy.This paper adopts the panel data of tourism industry agglomeration and green economy efficiency development in 30 province-level administrative regions in China from1998 to 2016,and uses the related mathematical methods such as location entropy method,data envelopment analysis and systematic generalized moment estimation to gather the tourism industry in China during the research period.An empirical analysis is made with the development trend of green economic efficiency and the influence mechanism and role form of tourism industry agglomeration on green economy efficiency.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)There is an obvious agglomeration phenomenon in the development of China’s tourism industry.The overall level of green economy efficiency is not high.There are significant time fluctuations and spatial heterogeneity in the development of the two.In the long run,the agglomeration of China’s tourism industry is fluctuating,and the concentration of tourism industry in the eastern,central and western regions is “V”-shaped;the overall efficiency of China’s green economy is not high and the growth rate is slow.The trend of the gradient from the east to the middle and the west is decreasing,and there is a big difference between the provinces.(2)China’s tourism industry agglomeration has an impact on the development of green economy efficiency,and the overall “U”-type nonlinear relationship is promoted after suppression.China’s tourism industry has hindered the development of green economy efficiency to a certain extent in the early stage of agglomeration.When the agglomeration reaches a certain threshold,the “uneconomical scale”gradually disappears,and the high-quality agglomeration plays a positive role in promoting the efficiency of the green economy.(3)Variables such as opening up,urbanization level,energy intensity and government regulation have different effects on the development of green economy efficiency.The level of urbanization has a significant positive effect on the efficiency of green economy.The factors such as the degree of openness,energy intensity,and government regulation have negatively inhibited the efficiency of green economy.The factors are counterproductive in their own development and changes.The impact of tourism industry agglomeration on the efficiency of green economy.Finally,the paper puts forward targeted countermeasures based on the theoretical and empirical research results of the article.
