Capital Logic And Human Development

Economic Manuscripts of 1857-1858 is an important work of Karl Marx.In this period,he made a comprehensive study of human development from the perspective of capital logic,and put forward many valuable thoughts about human development.Therefore,this paper analyzes the relation from five aspects: human communication,human needs,human wealth,human ability,human freedom.The first aspect is capital logic and human communication.In the capitalist society,human communication mostly appears as an exchange for the role of capital logic.When it comes to the contact scope,this exchange breaked the limitation of the narrow nationality and region before the capitalist society,it expanded the communication space,and made the world linked into one tight combination.From the perspective of human social relations,it freed people from the shackles of natural blood relations and political affiliation,and replaced them with comprehensive social communication through exchange value,and the human relations were enriched.However,because the narrowness of capital logic,the exchange between capitalists and workers becomes the most unequal exchange in capitalist society.The result of this exchange is the poverty of workers.Therefore,only sublating the impact of capital logic can promote the development of human communication.The second aspect is capital logic and human needs.On the one hand,capital breaked the qualitative boundaries of human needs of the former society,it also expanded the scope of human needs system,and created the practical situation for the future society.On the other hand,the narrowness of capital logic caused the material needs and spiritual needs of workers to be poor.This poverty not only hinders the development of workers,but also brings new difficulties to social development.Therefore,we must sublate the impact of capital logic on human needs.The third aspect is capital logic and human wealth.Capital logic stimulated the desire of people to get rich in the capitalist society.It has changed the self-sufficient mode of production in the past and formed the production for the purpose of wealth.With the purpose changing,the wealth of capitalist society has been greatly enriched.However,because the opposition between workers and capitalists,workers not only failed to obtain wealth,but also not have the power to develop.To sublate the wealthproduction of capitalism,we must establish the production of wealth for the purpose of human development.The fourth aspect is capital logic and human ability.The logic of capital encouraged workers to gain the power to utilize their own ability,and get rid of the control of human in the past society.Compared with the past society,the capitalist people has gained unprecedented development and progress.The natural world become the object of human beings,and they can utilize and transform it.However,in the process of promoting the liberation of human labour,capital logic also cause the simplification and unilateralization of workers' ability,and leading to the alienation of human ability.To develop the human ability,we should overcome the bad impacts of capital logic.The fifth aspect is capital logic and human freedom.The evolutionary trend of capital logic made wage labor to be possible.It enabled workers to obtain personal freedom,making free exchange as a universal way for people to meet their own needs.In the process of creating surplus value,capital logic provided the necessary material basis for the future society to shorten the social necessary labor time and obtain more free time.However,because the narrowness of capital logic,it creates a new dilemma for human freedom.Workers become machine attachments,and they are caught in a passive state in which their abilities and wealth are not free.Only sublating the function of capital logic can human's free development be realized.
