With the propose of The Belt and Road Initiative,financial institutions at all levels in China have provided financial support to implement the national strategy.As one of the policy banks,the Export-Import Bank of China actively gets involved in the construction of national infrastructure and people’s livelihood projects along the"Belt and Road",and establishes special loans for the Belt and Road.The scale of credit is continuously expanding,and it takes the role of "pilot and supporter" in prompting the macro strategy.While the credit business is expanding,it also has difficulties in imperfect risk prevention and control systems,thoroughly quantifying credit risk,lacking in quantity of offshore institutions,and facing in potential credit risks,especially in foreign-related credit business.These risks are very prominent.Therefore,under the background of continuous opening up of finance,what kind of credit risk is faced by the Export-Import Bank and how to effectively prevent credit risk are the focus of this paper.This paper firstly reviews the related research on the credit risk of policy banks at home and abroad,and outlines the credit risk characteristics and credit risk prevention theory from the perspective of policy banks.Secondly,it briefly introduces the The Belt and Road Initiative,and focuses on the existing state of the credit business of the Export-Import Bank under The Belt and Road Initiative,summarizing the problem that the Export-Import Bank faces more prominent country credit risks and qualification of the credit risk is difficult.Then,it further studies the factors affecting the country’s credit risk faced by the Export-Import Bank,and analyzes the multiple rnsk factors of social and political risks,economic risks and sovereign credit rnsks.On this basis,the factor analysis method is used to empirically analyze the influencing factors of the country’s credit risk,and the country credit risk scores of the countries along the "Belt and Road" are obtained and sorted.Finally,combined with the actual situation,from the aspects of business strategy,country risk prevention and control system,innovation capability,functions of foreign institutions and international talent team construction,feasible measures are proposed to prevent credit risks.This paper is based on the literature review and the analysis of the status quo of the Export-Import Bank.The innovations are reflected in using factor analysis method to further quantify the such prominent risks as political,social,economic and comprehensive risks faced by the Export-Import Bank of China in conducting overseas credit business in different countries along macro strategy and proposing relevant countermeasures to effectively prevent credit risks.
