Under the new economic normal,traditional economies are faced with new environment and severe challenges.After decades of rapid development of engineering general contracting industry,EPCM business model has the advantages of shortening construction period,improving project quality,reducing project cost,reducing disputes between owners and contractors.It is widely used by owners in the international engineering contracting market,and shows a rapid growth trend in the domestic engineering field.However,faced with many contradictions and problems such as national policy restrictions,obvious slowdown of market increment,gradual compression of profit space and intensified industrial competition,it is increasingly difficult for chemical engineering enterprises to survive the EPC development mode and management and control mode that have lasted for many years.How China chemical engineering co.,LTD.(hereinafter referred to as China chemical)breaks through the traditional development mode in the mature engineering industry and finds the best development path according to its own characteristics and advantages determines the survival of the enterprise itself.Taking the development of China’s chemical EPCM business as an example,this paper studies the development status of EPCM general contracting management mode at home and abroad through the reference of EPCM model related literature review,and analyzes the status of EPCM business industry,domestic and foreign development prospects and trends;Through the PEST analysis method,the external macro environment of the company is analyzed,and the opportunities and challenges brought by external factors are found.The five-force model is used to analyze the industry environment,and the competitive situation matrix is used to analyze the competitors,and the competitive position and competitive advantage of the industry in which the company is located are found.The value chain analysis is used.The law analyzes the internal environment of the company and finds internal capabilities and deficiencies.Finally,the SWOT analysis matrix is used to determine the four portfolio strategies of the company’s EPCM business development.Combined with the EPCM business development positioning and development goals,the business development strategy selection is further analyzed,and the EPCM business development is finally determined to be suitable for outsourcing.Strategy,centralized strategy,based on this,the use of existing resources to maximize the implementation of integrated alliance strategy.According to the research conclusions,the limitations of the research are found and the prospects are put forward.Taking China chemical as an example,this paper sorted out the development status of EPCM business in the general contracting industry of engineering,explored the development direction of EPCM business,and formulated the development strategy of China chemical EPCM business,providing reference for enterprises to further develop EPCM business model.There were 16 research figures,8 tables and 45 references are included in this paper.
