Analysis On The Influence Of Urbanization On Rural Residents’ Consumption In Jiangxi Province

Since the 1980 s,China’s urbanization process has been in full swing,bringing positive effects on expanding domestic demand and promoting residents’ consumption,and injecting continuous momentum into economic development.In recent years,the state has fully realized that the urbanization of traditional urban development is unsustainable.The "18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China" proposed a new type of urbanization based on "people-oriented",promoted the coordinated development of urban and rural areas in the process of urbanization,and effectively implemented the policy results of urbanization to benefit the broadest masses of the people,especially rural residents.;Later the "19th National Congress" of the latter party once again pointed out that urbanization is an important measure of the rural revitalization strategy,and actively and steadily promote urbanization;In 2018,General Secretary Xi Jinping once again stressed that while urbanization is being built,the development of rural areas will be promoted,and the integration of urban and rural development will be strengthened,and urbanization and rural development will complement each other.This argument is like a long-term drought and rain,indicating the future path of urbanization development.;In this year’s government work report in 2019,it is pointed out that promoting regional coordinated development,improving the quality of new-type urbanization and promoting new-type towns in depth.These have brought new opportunities for the promotion of urbanization in Jiangxi Province.Jiangxi Province is located in the central China.The strategy of "the rise of central China" implemented in our country has extremely important geographical advantages and plays a pivotal role in communicating the north and the South and connecting the East with the west.However,our province belongs to a large agricultural province,and the level of urbanization development is generally low,and the long-term is lower than the national average,low consumer demand,especially for rural residents.Therefore,actively promoting the urbanization process will become an important breakthrough for promoting residents’ consumption and expanding domestic demand within the province.This paper selects the rural residents who occupy the main body of Jiangxi Province as the research object,and explores the impact of urbanization on the consumption of rural residents in Jiangxi Province.On the one hand,it accelerates the process of urbanization to promote the consumption level of rural residents in Jiangxi,release the consumption vitality,and improve the living standards of rural residents;On the other hand,to a certain extent,it has inspired other provinces in the central region to expand domestic demand and jointly realize the strategy of "the rise of central China"This paper uses the data of Jiangxi Province for nearly 20 years.Firstly,it builds a comprehensive evaluation system for urbanization in Jiangxi Province by 16 indicators from four aspects: population,economy,environment and society,and explores the development of urbanization in Jiangxi Province from a quantitative perspective.Through the analysis of rural residents’ consumption level and consumption structure,the development status and trends of rural residents’ consumption in Jiangxi Province.Secondly,using the method of empirical analysis,the first one analyzes the relationship between urbanization and consumption level of rural residents from the perspective of consumption holistic,using co-integration analysis and VAR model.The analysis results show that urbanization and consumption level of urban residents exist.Long-term equilibrium relationship,while urbanization has little impact on consumption level in the short term;Secondly,from the perspective of consumption structure,using co-integration analysis and VAR model,the influence of urbanization on residents’ consumption structure is explored.The analysis results show that urbanization It has a positive impact on rural residents’ living,family equipment and services,health care,transportation and communication,and has a negative impact on food,culture,education,entertainment supplies and services and other goods and services of rural residents,and has no significant impact on rural residents’ clothing.Finally,the Feature of urbanization in Jiangxi Province,to lead the urbanization put forward suggestions to boost growth in consumption of rural residents in Jiangxi: First,Promote the construction of quality urbanization and promote the integration and development of rural residents;second,Improve the level of new urbanization and take into account the rural development.The third is to Improve the multi-level rural security system and release the consumption potential of rural residents;the fourth is to Implement the reform of the household registration system and reduce the
