A Case Study On The Impact Of Cross-Border Search And Dynamic Capability On Enterprise Innovation Performance

In the era of "Internet plus",consumers' demand for product categories has been increasing.Diversified sales of products and various online sales platforms have mushroomed,which has made unprecedented impact and impact on traditional manufacturing enterprises.In order to maintain and expand their market competitiveness,enterprises have to cross-border search in unfamiliar areas to obtain new resources.In the process of searching for new resources to cope with emerging problems,dynamic capability plays an important role in improving innovation capability and promoting new product development.Innovation performance is the key indicator to measure the success of new product development and sales,especially for traditional manufacturing enterprises,the role of innovation performance is more obvious.However,the specific correlation and impact mechanism of dynamic capability,cross-border search and innovation performance is still a "black box" in the current cross-border search theory and dynamic capability theory.Therefore,on the basis of combing and reviewing the relevant literature on dynamic capabilities,cross-border search and innovation performance,this paper hopes to use the research method of multi-case comparative analysis to analyze and explore the process of improving innovation performance through cross-border search and dynamic capabilities,and to solve the following research problems:(1)Combining cross-border search theory with dynamic capabilities theory.In the case of each period of application,explore the role of dynamic capabilities in cross-border search and the relationship between the two.(2)Combining the application of cross-border search theory and innovation performance theory in new product development and resource exploration,this paper explores the relationship between cross-border search behavior and enterprise innovation performance.(3)Combining the specific application of cross-border search,dynamic capability and innovation performance theory in the two cases,and making a comparative analysis at different stages,this paper explores the impact mechanism of the establishment of cross-border search behavior and dynamic capability on innovation performance.On this basis,we can find out the internal relationship and interaction mechanism between the three.This paper combines theoretical research with case study,explores the relationship between dynamic capability,cross-border search and innovation performance by using the method of model building,and analyses the causes and consequences of establishing dynamic capability to adapt to the rapidly changing market environment on the premise of cross-border search,as well as the impact on innovation performance of enterprises.On this basis,this paper summarizes and finds the following points:(1)According to the different characteristics of enterprise cross-border search process,this paper divides cross-border search into germination stage,promotion stage and stable stage,which can more intuitively show the different roles of dynamic capabilities and the impact of both on innovation performance.(2)In the process of improving innovation performance,enterprises can be divided into resource integration enterprises and resource exploration enterprises because of different ways of using resources.They develop and utilize innovative resources from both internal and external levels.Although the results are different,the ultimate goal is to promote the development of new products or build a new sales platform.(3)The cross-border types of resource integration enterprises and resource exploration enterprises are different from those of cross-border subjects in the process of cross-border search.Resource integration enterprises focus on Autonomous cross-border,cross-border main body is the enterprise itself,and resource exploration enterprises prefer to cooperate to find partners to complete cross-border search.(4)In the process of cross-border search,resource integration enterprises and resource exploration enterprises have different sources and applications of building dynamic capabilities.Resource integration enterprises build dynamic capabilities mainly from within the enterprise and integrate existing resources within the enterprise through dynamic capabilities.Resource exploration enterprises tend to build dynamic capabilities with the help of external resources of the enterprise,as to explore innovative resources outside the enterprise.After the comparative analysis of multi-case stage characteristics,this paper argues that the impact of cross-border search and dynamic capabilities on innovation performance is a dynamic process.Resource integration enterprises and resource exploration enterprises have experienced a process of resource integration from inside to outside in different stages of cross-border search,that is,innovative resources are sequentially flowing into enterprises from inside to outside.In terms of the establishment and application of dynamic capabilities,the integration and exploration of innovative resources by dynamic capabilities follow the order from inside to outside of enterprises and change the innovation performance of enterprises by promoting enterprises to obtain innovative resources.In addition,the cross-border search of enterprises is a continuous changing process.On the one hand,the innovation of science and technology and the secondary utilization of resources have promoted the deep establishment of dynamic capabilities of enterprises,on the other hand,they have enriched the ideas of developing new products,improved the innovation performance of enterprises through different ways,and let enterprises get rid of a series of negative effects brought by market pressure and peer competition.
