Agriculture is the foundation of the national economy,and land is the irreplaceable basic means of production and basic material guarantee in agricultural production.With the development of social economy,the quantity of agricultural land in China is decreasing,and the urbanization rate is increasing.How to make rational,efficient and sustainable use of limited agricultural land resources is particularly important.Based on the investigation of the quantity change and utilization status of agricultural land in Baiyun District of Guangzhou City,the structure type and quantity change characteristics of agricultural land in Baiyun District of Guangzhou City were studied,the current situation of agricultural land utilization in Baiyun District was summarized,the problems existing in the efficient and rational utilization of agricultural land in Baiyun District were discussed,and the ways to optimize the utilization of agricultural land resources were put forward on the paper.The main results were as follows:From 2010 to 2017,the total area of agricultural land in Baiyun District decreased from 37,744.37 hm~2to 35,973.98 hm2,a net decrease of 1,770.39 hm2 and reduced by 4.69%.Among them,the largest reduction was in cultivated land area,which decreased from 9,780.33 hm~2to 8,934.78 hm~2,with a net decrease of 845.55hm~2and reduced by 8.65%with an average annual decrease of 1.08%.The per capita cultivated land area decreased from 0.0370hm~2/person to 0.0253hm~2/person,reduced by 31.62%.The area of garden land decreased from 5,025.63hm~2to4,704.63hm~2,a net decrease of 321hm~2,reduced by 6.39%.The area of forest land decreased from 15,054.55hm~2to 14,753.33hm~2,a net decrease of 301.22hm~2and reduced by 2.00%.The area of other agricultural land decreased from7,883.86 hm~2to 7,581.24hm~2,a net decrease of 302.62hm~2and reduced by3.84%.Urbanization is a major factor in the reduction of agricultural land.With the rapid development of urban economy,the agriculture in Baiyun District is developing unsteadily.In 2017,the total agricultural output value of Baiyun District was 6.34billion yuan,down 2.8%from the previous year.The output value of crop and animal husbandry declined as a whole.Only vegetable and aquatic products increased by3.8%and 5.3%respectively.The operation of agricultural enterprises is greatly affected by the change of agricultural land use,and the development of modern urban agriculture still needs to be vigorously supported.The operation of agricultural enterprises is greatly affected by the change of agricultural land use,and the development of modern urban agriculture still needs to be vigorously supported.The main problems in the utilization of agricultural land in Baiyun District are that the reduction of agricultural land is too fast,the reserve resources of cultivated land are insufficient,and the level of agricultural industrialization needs to be further improved.As a large suburb of Guangzhou,Baiyun District needs to provide construction land resources for urban construction and development.On the other hand,it needs to provide fresh aquatic products such as vegetables and aquatic products to urban residents.Based on the existing problems and the needs of urban development,the following suggestions are made in this paper:(1)Strengthen the monitoring of basic farmland protection areas to ensure that basic farmland is not occupied.(2)vigorously develop tourism agriculture,ecological agriculture and facilities agriculture with typical characteristics of modern urban agriculture.(3)According to the characteristics of suburban agricultural development,formulate policies to protect agricultural land,especially land for agricultural enterprises,and promote the further development of suburban agriculture.
