| Mozambique is one of the sub-Saharan African countries.Mozambique has been working to promote Mozambican agricultural products around the world since joining the World Trade Organization in 1995.At present,the tobacco industry has become one of the most important industries in Mozambique,the second largest crop producing in Mozambique,and Mozambique is expecting to become second largest tobacco exporter in Africa.Indeed,Mozambique has great climate condition and location to produce large scale of T obacco,and potential to become the first tobacco exporter in Africa.Mozambique tobacco is mainly exported to Europe,Asia and Africa,which Europe being the largest exporter of tobacco.Therefore,in recent years,the Mozambican Government has attached g reat importance to the issue of tobacco exports to Europe.This paper comprehensively analyze the competitive advantage of Export of the Mozambique Tobacco to Europe market,analyzes the existing problems,and puts forward some relevant policy suggestions,which have strong theoretical research value and practical significance.This paper begins with a comprehensive analysis of the situation of the European market for tobacco exports from Mozambique,including the quantity of exports,Export structure and regional structure,by selecting the international market share Index(MS),the comparative Advantage Index(RCA)the Trade Competition Index(TC).An evaluation of the export competitiveness of Europe between Mozambique and Malawi,Africa’s largest tobacco exporter,concluded that Mozambique had a comparative advantage and development potential in terms of production quality,price and transportation.Secondly,it analyzes the existing problems and put forward measures of enhancing the Tobacco e xport according to the opportunities and threats raised from the parts above,in terms of product quality,export competitiveness,mode of production and export management.Finally,from strengthening the exchanges between Mozambique and other countries,establishing a stable export pattern,focusing on brand building and improving the quality of tobacco,the countermeasures and suggestions for the European market that tobacco exporters in Mozambique are putting forward.It hoped that to a certain extent it helps to improve the overall competitiveness of the Export of the Mozambique Tobacco to Europe,further strengthen the economy and trade cooperation between Mozambique-Europe and achieve win-win results. |
