Technological Innovation Drives Economic Development

There is a close relationship between economic development and scientific and technological innovation.Economic development will put forward requirements for scientific and technological innovation,and technological innovation will promote economic development.After decades of rapid development,China has achieved remarkable achievements.However,long-term rapid development has also accumulated some contradictions and problems in the supply-side structure.In order to maintain stable and healthy economic development in the new normal economy,the Party Central Committee proposes and continues to promote structural reforms on the supply side,and scientific and technological innovation is an important way to solve problems in the supply side of China’s economy.This article takes Marxist materialist dialectics as the guide and starts from the perspective of supply-side structural reforms.After sorting out the related theories of scientific and technological innovation and economic development.It further analyzes the new requirements and obstacles as well as its causes that China’s scientific and technological innovation driving economic development in supply-side structural reforms.And drawing lessons from the successful practices and experiences of developed countries in scientific and technological innovation driving economic development,the paper proposes the countermeasures and suggestions for scientific and technological innovation driving economic development in the supply-side structural reforms so as to serve China’s economic and social development.
