On The Consumer View Of Ecological Marxism

Ecology Marxism has a fierce criticism on the consumption alienation the on the main line of ecological crisis of capitalism in capitalist society.They point out the relationship between the alienated consumption and the ecological crisis.Ecology Marxism consumption has always been based on the basis of how to realize the freedom and liberation about man and nature.In addition,they criticize the state of depression of man and nature in capitalist false consumption,and put forward a series of theoretical ideas and specific measures to solve this problem.Ecology Marxism consumption is shown by the critique of capitalist system,technology,consumption and ecology.In the ecology Marxism view,The "alienated consumption" has a dialectical logic with the concept of "human control of nature".To control nature is the logical starting point of the "alienated consumption",while the "alienated consumption"drives the nature capitalize which further strengthens the human control of nature.Meanwhile,the ecology and consumption are "confrontational" in the technology used in the capitalist society.In their view,the reasons of "confrontation "between consumption and ecology in technical reason,one is that the rational development deriving from the enlightenment,cuts apart the internal connection of technical rationality and value rationality,making the technical rationality lack of life and survival significance of care,another is derived from the nature of capitalism and capitalist mode of production;Ecology Marxism points out that the consumption of ideal society must make economic rationality obeys ecological rationality,embed survival value into consumption value,establish ecological consumption patterns.This paper,mainly researches the ecology Marxism's theory of consumption,the theoretical background and the consumption views based on the ecology Marxism's main works as well as the related research both at home and abroad.On this basis,the value of its consumption was analyzed.On one hand,the ecological Marxist consumption value has its positive significance,on the other hand,it also has historical limitations,for example,there exists certain romanticism in realizing the ideal consumer society,and there are also some inherent contradictions in its theory.Ecological socialism is the institutional outlook of ideal consumer society in ecological Marxist.As a socialist country,China has its inherent advantages in the system,and can abandon the rationality of capitalism,with wider human nature and world care.However,due to the fact that our country is still in the primary stage of socialism,ecological consumption is facing many challenges.In the end,this paper analyzes the problems and their causes of ecological consumption in China,and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures from the aspects of technology,system and culture.
