If we analyze the government work report of Premier Wen Jiabao in2006, We note that China's economic policy makers are more aware ofthe series of social and environmental issues which were caused by theblind pursuit of GDP. The economic growth which is based on resourceconsumption, pollution and the extensive mode is not sustainable. China'seconomy needed to change to "low energy consumption, low pollution,high-yield" intensive growth pattern, that is, to go on the new road ofindustrialization which have the qualities of high-tech, good economicreturns, low resource consumption, less environmental pollution andhuman resource advantages into full played. Consumer conform to thedevelopment of eco-Fifth Plenary Session of the 16th CPC CentralCommittee proposed to build"conservation of natural resources,environment-friendly society" are the general principles, therefore, theimportance of the development of eco-consumption become obvious!This paper is divided into six sections: the first, introduction;Secondly, Analysis of the consumption of ecological concepts and modelconstruction; Thirdly, state the importance of the development ofecological consumption; Fourth, analysis the main problems whichcaused by the development of eco-consumption; Fifth, describes theexperience from developed countries on the development ofeco-consumption; sixth, the development of eco-consumer measures.The author have read a lot of books by scholars at home and abroad, and did a lot of notes and thought, and get the help of Professor YinShijie who is the guider of China's consumption Economics. Afteranalysis the ecological issues, I hope to propose a solution to solve theproblems by the following aspects: first, vigorously develop a circulareconomy;Second, comprehensive use of economic, legal andadministrative means to effectively protect the ecological environment;Thirdly, develop ecological industries and creating ecological andeconomic benefits; Fourth, the cultural environment; Fifth, the emphasison the people's livelihood and improve the eco-consumption; Sixth, weembrace the concept of universal ecological consumption, ecologicalconsumer education.
