With the improvement of people's living standards and the acceleration of urbanization,urban people are increasingly yearning for leisure,hoping to stay away from the city,seeking spiritual calm,and pursuing a quiet and natural rural slow life.As a result,more and more people are enjoying their material life while starting to use their leisure time to experience life in rural areas and feel the fresh and natural rural environment.Under such a background,the beautiful natural environment of Pingliang City,the original residential style and traditional living customs and other rural tourism resources not only satisfy the willingness of urban people to get close to nature,but also provide favorable conditions for the development of rural tourism in Pingliang City.Through the development of rural tourism,Pingliang City has increased rural employment and promoted rural economic development.On the other hand,it has promoted the flow of funds and talents from urban to rural areas,narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas.However,the simple and extensive development model will inevitably lead to a series of external problems such as low level of rural tourism development and low economic efficiency in Pingliang City.If these problems are not properly handled,it will inevitably affect the sustainable development of rural tourism in Pingliang City.Based on the theory of tourism function system,the theory of tourism life cycle and the theory of sustainable development,this paper analyzes the basic status of rural tourism development in Pingliang City,divides the development history of rural tourism in Pingliang City,and integrates rural tourism resources,basic types,classic rural tourism routes and rural tourism management models in Pingliang City.Summarize the achievements of rural tourism development in Pingliang City,analyze the factors restricting the development of rural tourism in Pingliang City and the problems existing in the development of rural tourism in Pingliang City.Some countermeasures and suggestions for upgrading the rural tourism in Pingliang City were put forward,in order to provide reference for the development of rural tourism in other areas like Pingliang City.In terms of research content,this paper puts forward the research backgroundand research significance from the perspective of rural revitalization,clarifies the research content,and reviews and evaluates the literature on rural tourism development at home and abroad,and sorts out the relevant aspects of rural tourism.Conceptual system and theoretical basis.Secondly,starting from the basic situation of Pingliang City,a comprehensive analysis of the development history of rural tourism,resource distribution,product supply types and problems in rural tourism were carried out.Finally,based on the successful development model,experience of rural tourism at home and abroad,and the problems existing in the development of Pingliang rural tourism,the paper proposes the mode and countermeasures for upgrading the rural tourism in Pingliang.Through research,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The development of rural tourism in Pingliang City has experienced three stages: exploration(2000-2004),beginning(2005-2009)and development(from 2010 to present).Basically form a five-in-one rural tourism product structure: sightseeing tupe,leisure “farmhouse” type,agricultural park type,folk culture type and health and wellness type.(2)At present,the problems and contradictions in the process of rural tourism development in Pingliang City are mainly due to the low degree of rural tourism development and low economic efficiency;the low level of accommodation and reception and the supply level and tourism goods;imperfect transportation system,a lack of effective marketing tools and other aspects.(3)From the aspects of development goals,development themes,product type structure optimization,product value-added development,spatial structure layout,etc.,the overall conception of upgrading the rural tourism in Pingliang City is carried out.Propose the government-led poverty alleviation type and multi-stakeholder-common type 's rural tourism development model to adapt to Pingliang City.
