Research Of The Impact Of FDI On Regional Innovation Capability

Facing the continuous expansion of foreign direct investment(FDI),how to maximize and learn from foreign advanced technologies to enhance their own innovation ability has become a realistic problem faced by various regions in China.This paper discusses from the perspective of absorptive capacity.The impact of FDI on regional innovation capability was tested empirically using panel data from 31 provinces and cities in China from 2008 to 2017.The conclusions of this paper will enrich the research on foreign direct investment and regional innovation capability,and provide reference for the formulation of foreign investment policies in various regions of China.In view of this,this paper firstly analyzes the relevant research results at home and abroad.Secondly,it compares the status quo of using FDI and regional innovation ability in different regions(east,middle and west)in China;then discusses the FDI pair from the perspective of absorptive capacity.Based on the influence mechanism of regional innovation capability,the theoretical framework model of the three is constructed.Then,the panel data of 31 provinces and cities in China from2008 to 2017 are selected,and the analytic capacity is used as the adjustment variable for stratified regression analysis.From the perspective of absorptive capacity Exploring the relationship between FDI and regional innovation capability;finally,relevant policy recommendations are proposed based on the results of empirical analysis.The results show that FDI has a positive impact on the improvement of regional innovation capability;the absorption capacity based on human capital,R&D level and trade openness has a positive impact on FDI technology spillover effects and regional innovation capabilities,based on The regulation of the absorption capacity of trade openness is slightly weaker than the level of human capital and R&D.Possible innovations in this paper:(1)At present,the relationship between FDI,absorption capacity and regional innovation ability has not been fully discussed at home and abroad.In this paper,FDI introduces a new variable,absorption capacity,into the theoretical model of regional innovation capability,and constructs a theoretical model with absorption capacity as the adjustment variable.(2)Based on the theoretical framework of the three,an empirical model of FDI,absorptive capacity and regional innovation ability is constructed,and the proxy variable of absorptive capacity is selected from the regional level.The research results of this paper will further enrich and develop existing research theories.
