Study On The Impact Of Biomedical Industry Agglomeration On Economic Growth In Yunnan Province

As one of the emerging strategic industries in Yunnan Province,the biomedical industry is of great importance to the economic and social development of Yunnan.Yunnan has the climate advantages and geographical advantages of developing biomedical industry.In recent years,biomedical industry in Yunnan has developed rapidly,industrial agglomeration has emerged,and industrial agglomeration can often have an impact on economic growth.Based on this,this paper studies the impact of the agglomeration of the biomedical industry on economic growth in Yunnan Province.At present.Most Domestic and foreign scholars believe that industrial agglomeration can promote economic growth.First of all,this article sorts out related literatures about industrial agglomeration to have an overall understanding about our topic at home and abroad.Then expounds the industrial agglomeration effects on economic growth,economic growth and industrial cluster theory,and analyzes the present situation of biological industry agglomeration in Yunnan Province.The study found that medicinal materials in Yunnan is rich,but the distribution is uneven.In recent years,the production of the biomedical industry in Yunnan has improved,and R&D investment has increased,but the total profit and sales revenue of new products are relatively low,ranking lower.This shows that the development of the biomedical industry in Yunnan province lacks competitiveness and the industry needs to be optimized and upgraded.The biopharmaceutical industry in the southeastern coastal and eastern regions of China has the best development,especially in Jiangsu Province,which ranks first of all countries in terms of production,operation,research and development for eight years.Secondly,this paper sorts out the data of 16 cities in Yunnan Province from 2008 to 2017,and uses panel data to analyze the impact of biomedical industry agglomeration in Yunnan on economic growth,as well as the different impacts of different agglomeration levels on economic growth.Therefore,this paper sets up three models,which are the overall data of 16 cities in Yunnan,the data of nine cities with high concentration in Yunnan,and the data of seven cities with low concentration in Yunnan..The model uses GDP to measure economic growth,and the location entropy to measure the level of industrial agglomeration.At the same time,Four control variables of population,foreign capital,entity capital,financial capital are selected to enhance the interpretation of the model.The analysis shows that industrial agglomeration has a significant impact on economy,and the higher the agglomeration level,the faster the economic growth;In addition,the four control variables have different effects on economic growth in three different models.Finally,it summarizes the main points of this paper,and puts forward suggestions for the problems existing in the economic development of Yunnan province.
