Enterprises often only focus on how to optimize the financial indicators of the merged companies and improve their operational efficiency during mergers and acquisitions.The neglect of employee relationship management results in that the employees of the merged companies often fail to identify with the new companies and leaders.Tense employee relations will become resistance to re-organization,cause communication barriers and even conflict,affecting the daily operation of enterprises.In May 2016,Federal Express Company where I worked at announced the acquisition of TNT Express,and in October 2017 began to merge and reorganize with TNT Express in China.During this period,there were many employee relationship conflicts.This paper hopes to study the conflict of employee relationship during merger and reorganization,so that more enterprises will take employee relationship more seriously and successfully complete merger and reorganization,which has a strong practical significance for the operation and development of the company after merger and reorganization.This paper expounds in detail the conflict of employee relationship caused by the conflict of corporate culture differences,the difficulty of training,the difference of operation process,the difference of salary before and after the merger and acquisition,the change of operation mode,and the difference of management style,etc.It applies the theory of employee relationship management,conflict and conflict management,corporate culture and cross-cultural management theory classify conflicts caused by different reasons,and analyze the root causes of conflicts one by one.Then it recognizes the necessity of establishing employee relationship management program.Based on the conflict of employee relationship,the basic principles of employee relationship management are mutual respect,seeking common ground while reserving differences,fairness,justify,openness and communication,comprehensive control,firm principles and flexible means.According to different types of conflict and using different conflict management strategies,this paper puts forward the employee relationship management plan:formulating enterprise culture integration scheme,improving employee training scheme,implementing unified principle and scheme of area distribution of pick-up and dispatch,establishing emergency plan of conflict management,providing employee psychological counseling scheme,employee Communication and interaction programs,etc.And put forward specific implementation plans and safeguard measures for the proposed employee relationship management program to ensure the smooth implementation of the management program.Through the research of employee relationship conflict and management in the process of M&A and reorganization of FedEx in China,we can see that the scheme of employee relationship management proposed in this paper is feasible.It can help the company avoid and mitigate the destructive employee relationship conflict,and lay a good foundation for the successful completion of M&A and reorganization and the future development of the company.
