Traditional retailing is an indispensable part of our national economy,among which household appliance retailing is an important component.The conditions of household appliance retailing have been attracting tremendous attention.In the recent years,the downturn of the household appliance retailing market and the rapid development of Internet and e-commerce have had a certain impact on household appliance retailers.Therefore,it has become an urgent requirement for traditional brick-and-mortar retailers to occupy the online shopping market.In order to adapt those changes,the traditional household appliance retailers begin to increase online resource commitment,and turn to develop e-commerce.Suning,a representative enterprise in brick-and-mortar retailing industry,has taken a lead to earn a place in fierce competition through reasonable reform efforts and transformation.The paper chose Suning as the research object and conducts analysis on the financial statement of it with the method of Harvard Analytical Framework.The aim of the paper is to discover the typical issues in the process of transformation,including unreasonable capital structure ? increased costs ? weak main business and blind expansion,and provide suggestions,like ensuring reasonable liability structure ?strengthening the review of expenses ? maintaining offline advantages and forming strategic alliance for the future development of the enterprise.At the same time,other enterprises of the industry could also contrast themselves with Suning,so as to learn a lesson from it in their later reform process,and strive for survival and development in the long run by formulating a strategic direction that is suitable for themselves.
