Analysis Of Flower Trade Between Guangdong And Holland In 2012~2016

Guangdong is an important area for flower production and flower export in China.However,with the increasingly fierce competition in the flower industry at home and abroad,great pressure has been brought to the export of flowers in Guangdong.Through collecting data and information and investigating,this paper had done 3 research on flower trade in Guangdong and Holland.First of all,the situations of flower trade between Guangdong and Holland in2012~2016 were analyzed.The main results were as follows.The annual export amount of Holland flowers in Guangdong was $5.16~7.39 million,accounting for11.08%~25.17% of the total export volume of all flowers in Guangdong;the amount of flowers imported from Holland was $0.099~1.058 million,accounting for0.41%~3.99% of all flower imports in Guangdong.The export of flowers was dominated by potted plants and seedlings,and there were few fresh cut flowers;the imported flowers were mainly cut flowers,which were $0.058~1.027 million and the bulbous roots were $0.024~0.064 million.Sea transportation was the most important mode of transportation for exporting flowers,and imports mainly depended on air transportation.Private companies operated most of the import and export of flowers.The export products mainly came from Zhanjiang,Dongguan,Jiangmen,Zhongshan,Guangzhou and Shunde.The average annual export price of various types of flowers fluctuated greatly.The average unit price of imported fresh cut flowers was 6.20 ~11.37 $/kg per year.Secondly,the main problems were analyzed and summarized in the export of Guangdong to Holland.The main problems were as follows.The annual value of export,especially the export value of fresh cut flowers,became smaller and fluctuated markedly;the annual export unit price changed too much;the export unit price was much lower than the import unit price;the flower cultivars with independentintellectual property rights were lack;the flower producer lacked good cultivation techniques,and so on.Thirdly,the main countermeasures were proposed to promote the export of flowers from Guangdong to Holland.The main measures were as follows: doing fully investigate the various problems existed in the export of Holland flowers in Guangdong,strengthening the research on the breeding of new flower varieties,carrying out research on the main imported flowers to cultivate techniques,expanding the cultivation area of flowers,and so on.
