Nowadays,the life cycle of the product is shorter and shorter and the profit is lower and lower because of the volatile market.A single enterprise is difficult to occupy the advantage in the cruel market competition.Each link independent operation mode for traditional marketing,production,purchasing and logistics gradually transformed into a new type of integration of the cooperation relations,namely supply chain management.Inventory exists in every link of the supply chain and affects the capital turnover,so inventory management of the supply chain has a close relationship with the running effect and economic profit of every enterprise.Small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises occupy the important position in the world economy.However,because of its backward management level and higher total inventory,the enterprises are more difficult operating.How to improve the level of inventory management becomes a problem of enterprise managers and it is also the significance of this article.Based on the small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprise W company as an example,the research analyzes the characteristics and problems of this kind of enterprise supply chain inventory management and put forward the effective improvement measures.First of all,using ERP system to restructure enterprise process,optimize the management process and management of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises,make up for the defects of administration;Second,using ABC classification to identify key finished goods,using time series model of quadratic exponential smoothing to forecast the demand;then the material needed for the key to finished goods in the priority classification using the key factor analysis method is put forward according to different levels take different material purchasing policy and safety stock of fine management,solve the problem of dull and low levels of customer service.Finally,it is proved that the improvement of inventory management in W company is effective by measuring the inventory turnover rate and the change of dull material in two important indexes.The ultimate goal is to improve the small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprise supply chain inventory management level and to meet customer service level under the premise of minimize inventory costs;to release the money from the stock and make capital value-added through constant motion;to increase the vitality and market competitiveness of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises.
