Research On Chongqing's Foreign Trade Competitiveness From The Perspective Of "Silk Road Economic Belt"

The economic belt of the silk road is a new economic development area formed on the basis of the concept of the ancient silk road.The economic belt of the silk road,because of its unique geographical location,namely the bridge between the Asia-Pacific economic circle and the European economic circle,is called “ the economic corridor with the most potential development potential ”.According to the classification of the provinces along the economic belt of the silk road,there are four provinces in the southwest,namely Chongqing,Sichuan,Yunnan and Guangxi.Since the establishment of the municipality in 1997,the economy has developed rapidly,especially in recent years.in 2016,Chongqing is ranked the first in the country with 10.7 % GDP growth rate.Among them,foreign trade plays a significant role in economic growth.However,it has to be recognized that the foreign trade of Chongqing has a big gap compared to the east.For example: foreign trade dependence is low,the development level is low,the development speed is not stable,and so on.For a country,the competitiveness of foreign trade is the most basic part of the development of foreign trade and the strong international competitiveness.Similarly,for a region,the same is true.Therefore,to improve the foreign trade competitiveness of Chongqing is very important for the economic development of Chongqing.This paper constructs an index evaluation system of Chongqing’s foreign trade competitiveness.After briefly introducing the present situation of Chongqing’s foreign trade development,based on the analysis of individual indicators and comprehensive factors,this paper systematically analyzes Chongqing’s foreign trade competitiveness from the perspective of " silk road economic belt".The macro-environment of Chongqing’s foreign trade development in the perspective of " silk road economic belt" is analyzed by pest analysis method.According to the research results,the silk road economic belt has brought great impetus to the improvement of Chongqing’s foreign trade competitiveness,but it mainly focuses on the total amount of foreign trade development and the speed of foreign trade development,and the competitiveness of foreign trade development quality is not high.The competitiveness of products is mainly reflected in the competitiveness of industrial manufactured goods,and the proportion of capital-intensive industrial manufactured goods needs to be increased.In addition,the macro environment of Chongqing’s foreign trade development is also confronted with the problems of high-level talents shortage,high logistics cost,low degree of trade facilitation,immature trade supervision technology and so on.Finally,based on the research results,reasonable policy suggestions are put forward to promote Chongqing to make better use of the great opportunities brought by the silk road economic belt to achieve the goal of leapfrog development of foreign trade.
