In recent years, the global service trade has developed rapidly. The World Bank’s development indicator data shows that in the past five years, the world average growth rate of service trade volume was 2.37%.In 2016,the world service trade export volume reached 48.721 billion U.S.dollars.At present, world trade in services is developing rapidly at a rate faster than that of trade in goods, making the world trade structure gradually shift from industrial to service-oriented trade. The service industry is becoming the key to determining the international competitiveness of countries and a new power source for the development of world trade.Against this background,China’s service trade has developed rapidly, but it has been in a long-term trade deficit since 2005,and the trade deficit has increased year by year.Under the global value chain, the various production links of products are allocated to countries based on the optimization of costs. The trade in intermediate products and trade in services are rapidly developing.Intermediate products have entered the production process several times across borders, causing serious recalculation of import and export trade. The traditional methods of trade statistics have been unable to objectively and reasonably reflect the trade conditions and trade gains of various countries. In view of this, based on value-added trade measurement methods to explore the export trade of China’s service industry and the level of international competitiveness, and then to explore the factors influencing the international competitiveness of China’s service export trade based on the results of domestic value-added measurement,it is of great significance to objectively and truly reflect the status of China’s service industry’s export trade and trade gains. This paper uses the world input-output data released by WIOD in December2016 to calculate the domestic added value of China’s service export trade from 2000 to 2014 based on the value-added trade algorithm, and measures the export competitiveness of China’s service industry based on this measure. And from the industry and time dimensions compared with the export trade and competitiveness based on the level of gross traditional statistical methods. The results show that China’s service export trade has the following problems:(1)the lack of departments is serious;(2)the export volume is seriously overestimated;(3)the departmental development is extremely uneven;(4)the slow growth. At the same time, the international competitive advantage of China’s service export trade under thetraditional gross value trade statistics method is overestimated. However, the international competitiveness of China’s service sector export trade is overestimated and underestimated.Secondly, based on the domestic value-added measurement method of export, through the constant market share model,we further explored the export change factors and competitiveness of China’s service. The study shows that the scale of world market demand is the main factor affecting the export changes of China’s service industry. The competitiveness effect significantly promotes the growth of China’s service industry’s exports, and the positive role of the competitiveness effect is mainly manifested in the overall competitiveness. The export structure of China’s service industry and the market demand structure of the world’s service industry all have a positive effect on China’s service industry exports, but this is not significant. An empirical analysis of the factors influencing the export competitiveness of China’s service industry through the error correction model shows that consumer price index, foreign direct investment, and real effective exchange rates are all important factors affecting the international competitiveness of China’s service industry. And it is consistent with the effect of the international competitiveness based on gross value accounting and domestic added value accounting.
