Bank outlets,as the most basic business units,are the most basic and important service and distribution channels for commercial banks,the competition between banks is not limited to the simple comparison of the size and types of outlets,but more reflected in the service level and operating efficiency of outlets.However,the traditional low-efficiency bank outlets are difficult to meet the diversified demands of customers for financial products and services,the transformation of bank outlets has become the consensus of commercial banks to comply with the requirements of development.As China's economy has gradually shifted to a relatively slow pace of development,increasing downward pressure has brought many challenges to commercial banks,the living environment of commercial banks is changing slowly.With the advancement of financial reform,as well as the liberalization of interest rates,internet finance,and the approval of private banks,commercial banks will face more severe challenges.The ever-compressed deposit-loan difference,the endless internet ‘baby' and the rising rate of non-performing loans have given the banks that rely on the survival of the deposit and loan spreads a head-on blow,and the era of lying and making money is over.Domestic commercial banks have pointed their spearheads to retail businesses with stable profits,as the most basic business unit of commercial banks,outlets have become the most important channels and places for development of retail business,how to optimize network resources,improve the efficiency of outlets,and realize the transformation of outlets as soon as possible have become the top priorities of commercial banks under the new normal.This paper uses the experience of domestic and foreign retail banks for reference,analyzes the external environment and internal conditions of the transformation of Jinan Branch of S Bank,and analyzes the feasibility of the transformation by using SWOT matrix,the design of outlet transformation scheme is carried out from the aspects of outlet layout,functional division,business process,service form and post setting,and from the corporate culture,organizational structure,human resources,performance appraisal and other aspects of the implementation of safeguards,to achieve a comprehensivetransformation from hardware to software.To draw questions from individual cases,the paper studies the transformation of outlets based on retail business under the new situation,and discusses the countermeasures and plans for the transformation of outlets,so as to enhance the overall competitiveness of outlets and provide theoretical reference and practical guidance for the transformation of other commercial banks.
