In China, life expectancy and human capital cycle have the double extension, and we face the serious challenge of the rapid aging and aging society before getting rich in society. On the one hand, the "demographic dividend" is gradually disappearing and the labor supply is reducing. On the other hand, the burden of pension in China is increasing year by year?To solve the problem of aging population, helping the elderly workers to promote the social economy while realizing their self support does matter. In the wave of aging in China, elder knowledge workers have rich work experience and profound professional skills, but it is difficult to make a contribution to society because of the impact of health problems and retirement policies.Based on the above considerations, this dissertation discusses the elder knowledge workers, and adopts the logit regression model to analyze the effects of human capital and health capital on their reemployment choice. In the effects of human capital on workers' reemployment choice, this dissertation takes the elder knowledge workers in university as objects. The results of empirical research are as follows:it is easier for the elder knowledge workers who have higher level of professional technique to get the favor of the other employers,so they tend to choose the new employer rather than the former employer;higher education makes them more possible to occupy in stable wage jobs instead of choosing entrepreneurship. On academic background, elder knowledge workers who have science and engineering backgrounds are more likely to choose entrepreneurship while those have social backgrounds are willing to stay where they are. Moreover, older men are prone of entrepreneurship whereas women prefer the former employer. In addition, accumulation of experience and skill is good for elder knowledge workers'entrepreneurship and finding new employer. In the effects of health capital on workers' reemployment choice, this dissertation takes elder knowledge workers in the CHARLS database as objects.Respectively, this dissertation discusses the effects of the self-assessment health, physical health and mental health on elder knowledge workers.Further more, this dissertation analyzes residence differences and gender differences. The results of the empirical study show that self-assessment health status as the overall reflection of elder knowledge workers'health capital effects their reemployment choice most significantly and directly.Elder knowledge workers who are healthier are more likely to return to labor market, while those who have problems on physical health and mental health are more difficult to get into the labor market. In the comparative analysis of elder knowledge workers in cities and towns,it is found that the elderly in urban are more sensitive to mental health because of more "empty nest".However, the elderly in towns are usually retired, thus they are more sensitive to physical health. In the comparative analysis of gender differences between men and women, elder male knowledge workers are less affected than female workers on the decision-making of the labor market. What the reason is the traditional Chinese family concept that "men outside and women stay" which considers men as the main family economic contributor and women as family free labor in home.At the last of this dissertation, some suggestions are put forward for the rational and full development of elder knowledge workers according to the conclusions.Firstly,we should multi-dimensionally improve the health of the elder knowledge workers.Secondly, elder knowledge workers are deserved to a diversified participation space.Thirdly, promoting the elder knowledge workers' human capital by retraining. Then, encouraging the elder knowledge workers innovation and entrepreneurship and building a information platform for their reemployment.
