Research On The Impact Of FDI On The Technical Structure Of China's Export Commodities

In the post-financial crisis period,China's economic growth faced enormous challenges.The mode of economic growth urgently required in-depth adjustments.At the same time,the mode of foreign trade development also needed an urgent transformation.As one of the most important aspects of transforming the development mode of foreign trade,how to optimize the technical structure of China's export commodities has become a frontier issue for scholars at home and abroad.Since the reform and opening up,with the continuous development of the economy,China's export trade and the use of FDI have increased to a large extent.As two important aspects of promoting economic growth,the mutual influence between export trade and FDI has continued to increase.Strengthen the technical structure of export commodities as an important indicator to measure the quality of export trade and the level of development.It is also being affected by FDI.Studying the impact of FDI on the technical structure of China's export commodities can not only understand the impact of different types of FDI on the technical structure of export commodities,but also find problems in the process of different types of FDI's impact on the technical structure of export commodities,and formulate countermeasures against these issues.To achieve the purpose of adjusting and optimizing the technical structure of China's export commodities in the process of improving the utilization of FDI.This paper uses the product export technology Height Index to measure the technical content of Chinese export commodities,and constructs technical indicators for export commodities and measures the technical content of Chinese exports.At the same time,it divides foreign direct investment into vertical foreign direct investment and horizontal foreign direct investment.This kind of research uses a combination of normative analysis and empirical analysis,qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis,establishes a corresponding measurement model,and systematically studies the effects of different types of FDI on the technical structure of export commodities.The research results show that vertical foreign direct investment and horizontal foreign direct investment have a significant impact on the technical structure of China's export commodities,and all have a positive impact,but horizontal foreign direct investment affects the technical structure of export commodities more than vertical.The effects of foreign direct investment are even more pronounced.The state should rationally guide the direction of foreign direct investment so that different types of foreign direct investment can promote the upgrading and optimization of different industrial structures,so as to increase the technological content of export products.In addition,we must create a good market competition environment,develop appropriate incentives,encourage enterprises to carry out technological innovations,and continuously increase the accumulation of human capital and investment in technology research and development,so as to strengthen the absorption of imported technology.
