Applying the self-disclosure theory and interdependence theory which are included in the interpersonal relationship development as the main theoretical basis, the research adopts a questionnaire survey to analyze and validate the relationship between the "tourist-to-tourist interaction" and the "subjective well-being" of tourists in youth hostels.Included within the above relationship are the mediating and moderating roles of "social bonding" and "collectivist tendencies".The results show that the "tourist-to-tourist interaction" has a positive impact on the "subjective well-being" of tourists through affecting consumers’ perception of"social connection";and the higher degree of individual’s collectivism tends to enhance the influence of "social connection" on "subjective well-being" of tourists. The main contribution of this paper is verifying the significant positive impact of the weak relationship between tourists on the quality of life of tourists.Taking the youth hostel as an example, this paper presents suggestions for managing and promoting the interaction between tourists. |
