A Study On The Economic Growth Of Yunnan Province Based On Human Capital And Energy

For a long time,economic growth has attracted the attention of economists.Whether a country or a region’s economy can sustain steady healthy growth is the key to the country’s long-term development.After the reform and opening up,China’s economy has developed rapidly,but mainly rely on the extensive economic growth,which is characterized by "high investment,high emissions,high pollution".Under the background of economic development of the new normal,the economic structure adjustment is placed in a more important position.Energy is an important booster in the process of economic growth.However,in order to form a new way of economic development,it is necessary to reduce the consumption of energy and continue to develop new energy and improve the efficiency of energy utilization through scientific and technological innovation.And to achieve scientific and technological innovation,there must be human capital as a support,at the same time,the human capital level of a country or region of,to a certain extent,will directly affect the economic growth rate and development quality.Therefore,to achieve the economic growth mode driven by factors driven to innovation,in order to gain a place in the increasingly fierce international competition,to enhance the level of human capital is an essential way.With the deepening of reform and opening up and the implementation of the western development strategy,the economy of Yunnan Province is developing rapidly.At the same time,energy consumption is also increasing,and it has gradually become an important bottleneck restricting economic growth in Yunnan province.In order to solve this problem,it is extremely effective to give full play to the advantages of human capital.In the context of energy constraints,how important is the contribution of human capital and energy to economic growth in this process?Research of this problem,to promote the adjustment of economic structure of Yunnan province,to promote sound and rapid economic development in Yunnan province has important practical significance.In this paper,qualitative analysis and empirical research are used to analyze the economic development,human capital and energy of Yunnan Province by using the time series data from 1996 to 2014 as the research sample.And then on the basis of the Cobb-Douglas production function model,Introduces energy factors.Finally,the least squares regression model and the ridge regression model are established to calculate the contribution of each factor to the economic growth of Yunnan Province.The empirical results show that:(1)The average contribution rate of human capital to economic growth in Yunnan Province during years 1996 to 2014 is still relatively low,only about 20%.Yunnan’s economic growth is mainly dependent on material capital,the impetus of human capital is not very ideal.(2)The average annual growth rate of specific human capital in Yunnan Province was 16.75%,although the number of professional human capital is in growth,but the stock is still very small,talent shortage is a short board that restricts the economic development of Yunnan.
