Research On The Perception Of Local Residents In Chiangmai About Chinese Self-driving Tour Behavior

Self-driving tours to Thailand have become an important form in the China-Thailan d travel industry ever since the completion of the Kunming-Bangkok Expressway.With the expansion of the team,Kunming-Bangkok Expressway has drawn a lot of attention from the international cross border sel f-driving tour network.China is the biggest tourist generating country in Thailand.With the development of the self-driving tours,there are many Chinese tourists and cars com ing from the northern China to Thailand for self-driving tours.While the tourism industr y in Thailand continues to blossom,many problems appear due to the distinctive charact eristics of self-driving tours.In order to achieve a better understanding of the behaviors of the self-driving tour tourists from China and help urge Thai government to formulate proper policy to manage self-driving tours,this paper discusses the self-driving tour phe nomenon concluded from the perspectives of the ChiangMai residents' behavioral perce ptions on the Chinese self-driving tour tourists in Thailand.This paper aims to find a m ore equitable method to manage self-driving tours and promote the sustained developme nt of self-driving tours.In the form of interviews and questionnaires,this study conducted an in-depth inves tigation into the local residents of Thailand around the main scenic spots in Chiang Mai City to explore the impact of Chinese self-driving tour tourists traveling in Thailand on t he local residents of Chiang Mai from the aspects of economic perception,environment al perception,lifestyle perception,traffic perception and to further put forward the count ermeasure to reduce the adverse effects and the suggestion to highlight the favorable im pact.The study found that from the perspective of local residents' perception in Chiang Mai,China's self-driving tours in Thailand have the most prominent impact on the loca 1 environment and traffic,and it is also the most prominent and contradictory aspect of t he problem,which needs to be paid attention to and resolved urgently.On the other han d,the impact of the Chinese self-driving tours in Thailand on the lifestyle and economy of the local ChiangMai citizens is not obvious,especially the economic impact,which w ill become the future biggest hidden dangers of the development of the Chinese self-driv ing tours in Thailand.As a Thai student majoring in tourism management,I have been concerned about h ow to make better use of the Kunming-Bangkok Expressway's location and geographical advantage to vigorously develop the China-Thailand tourism industry.I hope this paper will bring some inspiration and refer ence.
