Research On Measure And Competitiveness Evaluation Of Producer Services Industry Agglomeration In Yangtze River Economic Zone

With the transformation and upgrade of the global industrial structure,the world economy has started to change from industry-based economy to service-based economy recently.Modern service industry,characterized by high technology content,high added value,low pollution,low consumption,is of increasingly significant as a supporting role.Now in the developed countries,service industry has accounted for more than 60%of GDP,while in 2015 China's tertiary industry proportion reached 50.5%.China's economic and social development has come into the "new normal" currently.As a stabilizer in the development of Chinese economy,the importance of service industry especially the producer services industry will continue to increase.Because of the economic globalization and the development of specialization of labour division,the agglomeration of producer services industry tend to become increasingly obvious.Industrial agglomeration,a process that the industry capital converge into a certain geographical space,has become one of the most important features in the development of industrial organization through sharing market resources,local public goods supply,brand effect,knowledge spillover effect,enterprises can save costs and realize the scale economy.The population and GDP of Yangtze River Economic Zone account for more than 40%of the country respectively,"Yangtze River Economic Development Plan","The program of taking advantage of innovation to drive Industrial transformation and upgrading in Yangtze River Economic Zone "are proposed to develop the producer services vigorously and create world-class industrial clusters,which are strategic decision-making taking into account of the current as well as the long-term benefit.Thus making a research on measure and competitiveness evaluation of the producer services industry aggregation in Yangtze River Economic Zone is of great significance.The article firstly generalize related research results and theory,then make a definition of producer services industry and producer services industry agglomeration.Based on spatial gini coefficient,geographic concentration index,using panel date of 11 provinces in Yangtze river economic zone from 2010 to 2014,the level of agglomeration of producer services is measured statically.Selecting three key cities of Shanghai,Wuhan and Chongqing as typical case to analyze the development level and layout of the producer services industry respectively;using the structural equation model to establish the evaluation model to analyze the industry agglomeration competitiveness;on the basis of which,putting forward the problems in the process of agglomeration and work out effective solutions.It is concluded that the geographical concentration index of the service industry in the Yangtze River Economic Zone is generally low(y<0.05),while the majority of the productive service industries show a concentrated trend in the geographical distribution.Shanghai,Jiangsu,Zhejiang provinces,which take advantage of better dynamic factors,market,innovation abilities,are in the top three of the ranking of the agglomeration competitiveness of productive service industries.Chongqing,Sichuan,Hubei,Jiangxi belong to the second ladder while the production service industry agglomeration competitiveness of Anhui,Hunan,Yunnan,Guizhou four provinces are relatively poor.
